A familiar script is being followed. Steelers start out 6-2 and lose a tough AFC game at home afterwards to go to 6-3.
2008: Steelers lose 24-20 to the Colts at home to drop to 6-3.
Result: Steelers go 6-1 the rest of the way and advance to Super Bowl XLIII.
2009: Steelers lose 18-12 to the Bengals at home to drop to 6-3.
Result: Steelers go 3-4 the rest of the way and miss the playoffs.
2010: Steelers lose 39-26 to the Patriots at home to drop to 6-3.
Result: Steelers go 6-1 the rest of the way and advance to Super Bowl XLV.
It's 2011, and here we are again. Steelers start out 6-2, and lost another tough game at home. This time to the hated Ravens to lose the season series to them. Just like 2009 to the Bengals. What's going to happen now? Will we see another 2009 collapse?
Two road games coming up. At Cincy, who is playing pretty inspired this year, and at Kansas City, where the Steelers have historically sucked no matter how good/bad the Chiefs are. Ironically, Cincy and KC are the two teams the Steelers lost to during their bad losing streak in 2009.

Enthroned Into The Good Old Boys Club - 2024
So was it a "legitimate" loss when the Saints lost to the Rams, or the Giants lost at home to the Seahawks, or the Ravens lost to the Titans and Jaguars etc...
