well that's a black and white way of seeing it, but no. The 2011 colts are way better than the 2008 lions. They still have so much talent on that team, it is absolutely remarkable that they have not won a game yet. The '08 lions hardly had any talent. The Colts dont need to go into rebuild mode like them after this season. They just need a healthy quarterback, honestly, but yes it's probably going to be Andrew Luck

Looking at those stats, it is unbelievable that the Steelers needed a field goal in th final seconds of the game to avoid going to overtime against this crappy team that is losing their games by an average margin of 17 points per game

Freeney and Mathis had completely dominated the Steelers o-line.

That's because, for whatever the reason, teams always seem to bring out their best against the Steelers.

...or we just take crappy teams for granted all the time.

I'm pretty sure the Lions were worse, since they didn't tank any of their games on purpose, like some other teams I know.

They hadn't been demoralized yet when the Steelers played them. Teams playing them now have it much easier.

that is far from a feasible excuse

More like, once they got to about 0-4, having a realistic shot at Andrew Luck became the excuse.

Del Rio is gone. Maybe the players start playing for the die hard fans that have supported the Jags through these lean years.

    No it isn't.

When the Steelers ran into the Colts, it was Week 3, the Colts still had a fighting spirit, and really were out to prove something in front of their home fans that they were still a worthy opponent. The Steelers O-Line was without Starks and playing extremely bad at the time, not to mention Roethlisberger was turnover prone.

That and the Steelers tend to play down to competition. They do that all the time.
