Oh baby!!! Now he has to catch up to the rest of the D. Wonder how hard it was for him to not participate in the Patriots dismantling. He'll be ready for some payback against the Ravens.
thank you thank thank you thank you............

#Steelers LB James Harrison just said on his Facebook account he does NOT expect to play Sunday, but should be practicing soon. #Ravens#NFL

That's not what hes saying per his twitter/facebook accounts. cleared to practice but not to play this weekend.
Good we needed that with the uncertainty about Woodley. If Woodley is out do we start Timmons in Woodley's spot or do we start Carter there and move Timmons back inside? I think Carter did some good things in the last game, got in on some pressures. Will have to wait for news on Woodley.

Saw the doctor today. Looks like I won't be playing this weekend but at least I'm cleared for practice. Worst case scenario I'll be back after the bye for sure.

Do we have any OLBs on the practice squad? If not, and if Harrison, Woodley, and Worilds all cant play then we would have to sign someone.
Seriously, you don't want to mess around with your eyes. I know Harrison is probably dying to play, but if the docs say no, there's a reason.
This isnt good if Woodley cant go full force. That strech run system will be a problem if Rice gets an outside run play. I expect the Ravens to pound the rock and wear our our front 7.

He can go to football practice, but can't play football ? Am I missing something ?
Hope Woodley is good to go. Farrior is prob out another week. Worilds is still out. So we have Timmons, Foote, Carter and Slyvester. Ivy and ? as backups.
to be honest with all of you, he is very lucky to be able to play a down of football again.
If he had had a retinal tear or detachment with the orbital fracture, his career may have been over. So however long the doctors hold him out, it's for his own wellbeing.

Once an incision heals , the body has it's own barrier against bacteria. We do invasive eye procedures all the time (ie: cataract surgery) and antiobiotics are only used for 7 days. There's no need after the wound is naturally sealed. It's the jarring and the impact on the eye that's the issue now. The fracture needs to be healed before he can practice or play with contact to protect the globe of the eye. Retinal detachments are sight threatening. Everytime I see him hit or get hit, I'm going to cringe and hold my breath.
We see people all the time in our office with orbital fractures. We dilate the eye to check for tears and detachments before our specialist (ocular plastics and reconstruction surgeon) does the orbital fracture repair.
When this happened, I honestly didn't expect to see him on the field until after the bye, so this doesn't surprise me at all that he's only been cleared to practice.
Most of the fractures we see are the result of bar fights.![]()

Keyaron Fox would be handy right now. Think we could trade Sweed for him tonight?
