Would it be worth it to try and move Dixon to Oakland for a draft pick even if its a 7th rounder. Batch being the only backup might be the only thing stopping this idea.

Yeah, not gonna happen since Lefty is hurt.
Hahahah....yeah right. What they have now is better than Dixon...why would they trade for him?
I don't think anyone would give a draft pick for Dixon. They'd just go get the equivalent of Jeff Garcia or Kerry Collins, only a few years younger. Mercenaries who have had a couple good seasons and might have a couple more years left in them as a caretaker. Maybe Trent Edwards, Marc Bulger, someone like that? I don't really remember who those QBs are right now, but there are always a few of them around.
At any rate, I'm fairly certain there are several QBs with a better track record than Dixon who won't cost a draft pick. Dixon's main value is with the Steelers, since he's familiar with the offense. Even that does not really make him worth a heck of a lot to us past this year.
Maybe they have tried. Still think if we can get something for him, then why not. 3rd string QB not a big issue.
Not as much as needing a young NT, young ILB and somebody to play RG.
Just heard on the radio from Jay Glazer that Carson Palmer is getting dealt to Oakland. Just working out the details and draft compensation.
