2017 College Football QB Watchlist
Chances are, we will be looking to draft a QB in the 2018 NFL Draft. This thread is a place to list your favorites, post weekly stats, Game clips, of the 2018 QB class. This way we can all share in the info all season, and not have to try to cram during predraft season.

Daniel Jeremiah with some early leaders for the QB draft board.
Who's next in CFB pipeline? After the final Path to the Draft episode of the season airs on Friday (6 p.m. ET on NFL Network), I'll take some time to re-charge my batteries before beginning to look at some of the top college football players in the month of June. Here are five of the players I'll be studying this summer:
USC QB Sam Darnold: I've seen Darnold play live several times (including an epic performance in last season's Rose Bowl) and he's impressive. His timing, anticipation and accuracy stood out to me. I can't wait to dig in and really study his game.
Wyoming QB Josh Allen: I've seen Allen play live and I've had the chance to visit with him in the offseason. Based on those exposures, it's easy to appreciate his size, arm strength and athletic ability. He will be in the conversation to be the top quarterback at the collegiate level next fall.
UCLA QB Josh Rosen: I saw Rosen play live in 2015, but I didn't get a chance to see him last fall before he suffered a season-ending injury. He has a beautiful throwing motion and the ball jumps out of his hand. I'll go back and study tape from both his freshman and sophomore seasons over the summer.

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
So there are currently 4 estimated "elite" quarterbacks in next years draft?
Is this crop comparable to 2004 and is it likely we will have to trade up into the first half of the first round to grab one?

Apparently we need to tank the season so we can get one of these guys.

Not at all. These names that are getting put out there now are not the end of it all. I've heard this class of QBs being compared to 1984's class.(whenever the Marino/Elway/Kelly class was, I think '83/'84) Anyway, there will be BETTER QBs in the 2018 draft, and more of them. I've personally got a couple guys I'm watching that I haven't seen on anyone's top prospect list yet. Not professionally, of course, just as a hobby of mine.

You should take a look at Bryan Schor. He led James Madison to the FCS title last year 6'2" 215. He's also Pennsylvania born and bred. http://jmusports.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=11842

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
My guy Riley Ferguson played in tropical storm Harvey this week. Not many passes attempted in that deluge. But, they rushed for 319 yards against one of the worst rush defenses last season. So really didn't need to throw the ball this week.
Side note: Sophomore WR Tony Pollard returned his 3rd career KR for a TD on the opening kick of the 2nd half. Steelers do need a KR at this time too.

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
Also: Mason Rudolph OK State. 20 of 24. 303 yards. 3 TDs, 0 INTs and 1 rushing TD vs Tulsa. Rudolph is also 6'5" and 230lbs.

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
The guy I really want.
Lamar Jackson vs. Purdue
30/46 378 yds 2 td 0 int
21 rush 107 yds

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
Pretty sure Rosen got himself a spot in the top 5 picks tonight. WOW!
-
Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
I may make the trip to see Rosen vs Ferguson in 2 weeks. Should be a classic.

Nice!

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
Really like Luke Falk from Washington State, he's big,has a rifle arm and plays in a system that's very pro ready. Plus he is a more reasonable pick without giving up the farm.

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
Wilton Speight has some really bad receivers. Either that or Cincinnati has one helluva secondary.
-
Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
You guys got me. Speight is Bad. Just plain BAD

They do have some very young receivers. I believe they may be starting a true freshman.

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
I watched OU/OSU. Mayfield had a very good game. Looked very sharp throwing the ball. Not sure he ever took a snap from under center. Which seems to be a big deal in scouting circles.
Switched to the end of USC/Stan. Darnold apparently played like a champ and got game MVP. Didn't actually watch him play much but again, no snaps from under center.
I'll get to see Rosen and Ferguson up close next week. Looking forward to that.

Get to know this guy's name.

I recommend everyone to watch this game.

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXIBxJSbUAAFound a video of my guy Bryan Schor. From the 2016-17 FCS championship game. Some really good throws and a few bad ones. Not his best game felt like he pressed at times. I have no doubt this guy could play at the next level.
Riley Ferguson throws a great deep ball!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gWkpRBMhes

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
I was watching the UCLA vs. Memphis game. Both of the QB's look pretty darn good. Ferguson isn't as polished as Rosen is though.
-
Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
Riley Ferguson 23/38, 398 yards, 6TDs, 1INT
Josh Rosen 34/56, 463 yards, 4TDs, 2INTs
Great back and forth game, for those that didn't get to see it. Mem D forced Rosen to short passes mostly. Rosen was accurate as hell. Had some drops. all in all looked great. Ferguson put on an air show. Accurate ball placement as well. I would take either of these guys.

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
Mason Rudolph vs Pitt today... 23/32, 497 yards, 5TDs, 1INT

Re: 2017 College Football QB Watchlist
It'll be interesting to see how well Lamar Jackson does against a punishing Clemson D-line.
