Darrelle Revis charged with four felonies in Pittsburgh
Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis has been charged with felony aggravated assault and robbery for his alleged involvement in an altercation that took place in Pittsburgh early Sunday morning, according to court records obtained by NFL.com.
Revis, 31, was charged Thursday in Allegheny County (Pennsylvania) with four felonies -- two counts of aggravated assault, one count of robbery and one count of conspiracy: aggravated assault. He also was charged with making terroristic threats -- a misdemeanor.
The former All-Pro hasn't turned himself in yet to authorities.
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told NFL.com the league will look into the matter. Revis faces the possibility of discipline from the league under the NFL's personal conduct policy. The Jets confirmed to NFL.com they are aware of the incident.
The Pittsburgh Department of Public Safety released details about the alleged incident shortly before Revis was formally charged. According to the release, Pittsburgh police were dispatched to an intersection in the city at 2:43 a.m. EST Sunday to look into a report that two men had been knocked unconscious. The two men later told police they were punched by Revis and another man.
Blaine Jones, Revis' attorney, told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo that Revis sought medical attention after the incident and "at no time was Darrelle" the aggressor. Jones said Revis was "retreating" from the situation................

This whole thing seems strange to me. I'll wait for all of the information to come out but this could be the end of Revis' career, which was close to being done anyway.

Joey Porter can provide the name of a good lawyer who deals with these sorts of issues

Nothing good ever happens at midnight in the middle of an intersection. Doesn't anybody go home and sleep anymore?

Apparently Darrelle Revis agrees
Authorities announced today that they will withdraw the most serious charges filed against Steelers assistant coach Joey Porter following his encounter with a Pittsburgh police officer at a South Side bar last weekend....
Attorney Robert Del Greco said his client was “heartened” by the withdrawal of the most serious charges and will address the less-serious summary offenses “in due course.”

Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis has turned himself in to police in Pittsburgh after a weekend altercation that led to his being charged with four felonies and a misdemeanor.
Revis did not answer questions from assembled media as he made his way into the Pittsburgh Municipal Courts building at about 7:20 p.m. ET Friday. He was accompanied by attorney Blaine Jones and family members.
Jones told ESPN that he believes Revis has a "very good case." He described his client as serious, somber and "ready to answer charges."
Jones also said that Revis had retained him for pre-trial services only and that he had removed himself from the case after Friday night. Bob Del Greco will be Revis' lawyer going forward.

The Jets may get some big time cap relief if Revis is found guilty here...that $6M they owe him becomes null and void if he gets into "trouble"...lol.
