It’s not going to be an issue at all. He will be the standard for all players to look up to for at least the next two seasons. He will be collecting $35M from the Patriots. Not only did he whine his way out of Pittsburgh, whine his way out of Oakland, but he landed on a better team, in a better situation and got a $5M raise. He’s happy now and will be one of the poster boys for the NFL.

Alas, that is my thinking, as well. AB will tone it down, and have a record-setting season.
That said, several NFL analysts (e.g. Geoff Schwartz) feel that AB is simply AB, and that at some point, AB will implode. Even if that occurs, I expect the Taperiots to simply cut him & move on. (AB won’t derail their season.)

Agreed it is similar, although Steelers-Pats is a next level level of futility compared to 70s Raiders-Steelers. Raiders won two playoff games in Oakland and two regular season games at Three Rivers during the 1972-77 rivalry. Pats own the Steelers like the 70s Steelers owned a good 70s Bengals team.
As posted above, Ravens have usually played the Pats tough, going 2-2 in playoff games at Foxboro with Brady and having good shots to win the two games they lost. Of course that was when the Ravens defense was clicking - will see if this year's rebuilt Ravens defensive unit has a shot.
Not the Steelers problem anymore this season unless they regroup and get to try again in Foxboro in January.

Agreed he probably will calm down, assuming his goal all along was to land in New England. The silver lining in his contract is that several million dollars in incentive clauses require AB to put up big numbers that require a lot of targets - AB might start acting out if those clauses start to look out of reach.

Re: Who's beating New England this year
They added an option for another year. I would not be surprised if the Patriots 3 peat.

 Yep.
Of course, if the AB rape allegations are found to be anywhere near “plausible”, I expect Belichick to cut AB within milliseconds. As I said, the Taperiots will simply move on (AB won’t derail their season).

Re: Who's beating New England this year
The rape allegations sounds like complete bullshit. When you make a statement like, "He used manipulation and false promises to lure her into his world" you sound like a gold digging loony. If he assaulted her in 2017, then why did she not report it then? Why did she go back out with him in 2018? Who is her lawyer, Dr. Christine Ford Blasey?
-
Re: Who's beating New England this year
I can't see AB finishing the season at N.E.. Not considering the 'rape' situation as a cause, I think AB just being AB will void him playing. Brady is the ONLY 'prima donna' on that team, we all know that. He will throw that ball all over the field where ever he chooses. AB won't be happy with 5 (+ -)passes a game. Brady won't handle him coming to the sidelines, like he did Ben, and getting in his face. AB will sooner/later have a tantrum, showtime antic some where on/off the field that Bellecheat and organization won't stand for. Of course, maybe the owner could take AB to one of his brothels and settle him down periodically.
-
Re: Who's beating New England this year
I have a feeling this is gonna be another McNulty situation where it stirs drama, AB won't get suspended. Though like Ben, even though not convicted, gets called a rapist for his entire career, even though it might not be true

Found this:

The Cheats haven been cheating since 1961. Notice that it has been rumored that the "fan" actually was the Cheats' owner at that time and he never even denied it...

Re: Who's beating New England this year
The Dolphins are going to beat the Taperiots today. Then, the Taperiots won’t lose again until the divisional round of the upcoming playoffs (where they are upset at home).

76 points in two games...lol.

Re: Who's beating New England this year
Miami is pure trash this year! Absolute pure trash. By the way, if anyone is interested AB had 4 receptions 56 yards and 1 TD on 8 targets

Who's beating New England this year
Miami...maybe better then the Steelers...lol.

Not really interested, personally. But if history is any guide, those kinds of numbers aren't going to be enough to keep him happy. Especially if, as AtlantaDan pointed out, he begins missing incentives because of them.

Re: Who's beating New England this year
At this point, I'd say no one.
-
Re: Who's beating New England this year
The only team with enough fire power is KC.
-
Re: Who's beating New England this year
The Chiefs are a real possibility, their defense actually looks on point this year. Then you got Mahomes who throws TDs at will, the dude is incredible. Pats can take away his top 2 weapons and it doesn't matter, his #3 and #4 options are still pro bowl caliber lol

That's likely why Pats are gonna try and stick by AB. Helps keep up in the arms race.

He's an attempt to replace Gronk in terms of firepower. The running game isn't going like last year yet though. They miss Gronk's blocking.
You can debate whether Gronk was the GOAT Tight End, but it's hard to debate that he wasn't the GOAT blocking TE.

Steelers. Point blank period.
-
Re: Who's beating New England this year
I was going to say whatever team the Pats play in week 17 since the Pats presumably will have locked up the #1 seed by then and Belichick would rest starters
But week 17 is Miami @ New England - LOL
Maybe @ Ravens in a Sunday night game in early November but I will wait to see how the Ravens do against a team that will be winning at least half its games this season before deciding if they really are good this season

I think only Baltimore and KC have a shot.
