This one should be interesting. The Steelers are playing a team that can go big play for big play with them for the first time since Wilson debuted. I can see it going either way. But I think the Commanders pull away in the second half and win by two scores.
I feel the Steelers will be well rested and some injured players will be back. The week off is helpful, however . . . Tomlin teams usually have a slow start after the bye so we will be down at halftime, hit our stride in the third and make a game of it in the 4th to win with a 60yd FG at the end.
Tomlin is 12-4 the week after the bye. He's won the last 6 in a row.
Does that stat actually mean anything? Idk.
Steelers 27-24. This will be a tough game and I won't be surprised if we lose. The bye week gives the Steelers a slight advantage.
They haven't beaten anyone really, unless you consider the Bengals a playoff team. And Daniels seems to have come back down to earth the last couple games.

…….and we will need them! Daniels is a “gun slinger”. I’m certain we will get burned a couple of times……just need to keep that stat as low as possible. Their secondary isn’t great, I would put the big boys (TEs) often. Hopefully we can sustain our current running game. Richmond hasn’t gone nuts for years. OBNOXIOUS! The Skins are the only team that this city calls their own……(sorry…..the Comanders)

I think unless Fields gets worked in for at least one play, Tomlin knows his tease of doing so falls flat. He wants defenses to be distracted with the concept.

Brian Robinson ruled out. That’s a big loss for the Commanders. They’ll roll with Ekeler at RB.

I'm really interested to see what the Steelers defensive strategy will be against Daniels. I know fans will be yelling for the Steelers to Blitz, Blitz and then Blitz. Of course, if fans called plays, we would blitz on every down. I'm no defensive "strategery" expert, but it seems to me that our success against Lamar in the past has come not from blitzing all the time, but from being really disciplined and not giving him lanes to escape out of. The old Lamar didn't seem to be able to figure out who was open then. Maybe that will be the strategy against Daniels? We will see for sure.
Steelers need to score at least 1 TD in Q1 and control the LOS on defense. If they score more points they will win!
We have 8-9 games worth of film to study Daniels. His targets are primarily #17 and #8. We keep them from beating us and make somebody else do it.Quote:

From what I’ve been told by those who claim to watch the film and whatnot, is that Kingsbury is featuring Daniels in a really RPO heavy offense. Why some other team called it a “college offense”.

Russell Wilson will be very important for the most part in the second half of the season.....The commanders,ravens,bengals have great offense,poor defense,so it will be important he make the difference when it will be a need....First 2 games,he has been very good but he need to continue!
