maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
from the sounds of this if a decent offer ( perhaps a 4th round pick even ) was made the Commanders / Redskins may part with Jahan Dotson and if not a late round pick might snag Brown who IMO has always been under rated ...

I agree. Whatever ends the the drawn out drama would be good too. Find good value for less draft capital and monetary capital going into a new offensive system ,year one.

Re: maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
I agree. Although Dotson doesn't seem to look the part. We really just need a #2. Maybe the Panthers would be willing to trade Johnson? ... Oh wait!

lol. Shows what the Commanders thought of Dotson trading him to a division rival.
-
Re: maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
Let's go get hold out Jamar Chase from our division rival!!!
-
Re: maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
Maybe the Commanders are clearing roster space and gaining draft picks for Aiyuk…

Re: maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
Zachary Smith
@ZacharySmithPGH
I feel like it’s obvious to assume, but still felt like it was worth putting out there.
The Steelers have reached out to both the Texans & Broncos to check in on John Metchie III & Tim Patrick.

Noah Brown is another I would be very interested in , he has proved to be a game changer when given a chance , he has issues staying healthy but for peanuts is well worth the gamble IMO

The Eagles added Barkley and Dotson to AJ Brown and Devonte Smith. :yield:

The Houston Texans are set to release wide receiver Noah Brown, who would make a perfect fit for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Re: maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
would solve our need at gunner:
Jeremy Fowler
@JFowlerESPN
#Giants are releasing WR Miles Boykin but want to bring him back to the practice squad, per source.

I like Noah Brown but believe he's dealing with a shoulder injury.

that wouldnt shock me , he isnt the most durable guy but he can sure play as we witnessed last year with like 350 or so yards receiving in 2 games (then he got hurt)
-
Re: maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
Tim Patrick could be an interesting signing as Russ is familiar with him and the Broncos cut him.

Re: maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
None of these cut receivers move the needle for me. I'd rather go after a legit WR2 or roll with what we have.

Agree. They are all pretty much the same as Scottie Miller or Van Jefferson IMO.
-
Re: maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
Russell Gage
becomes a likely option as he already knows the system and was released ... no it doesnt make him a big upgrade but it would make him an upgrade over Miller

signed with Washington today.

Re: maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
Khan seems to be all in on Aiyuk. Must not think anyone else moves the needle over Van Jefferson.

The list that’s out there is nothing better than what they have at the top of the chart. Not yet at least and some might not be better than Austin but that kinda remains to be seen. At this point, Scottie Miller is a better option than Austin.

Re: maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
Jamar Chase still holding out.

come on man, aren't you getting tired of talking about non-Steelers players yet?

Re: maybe the steelers should focus on other WR options
I wouldn’t say they’ve “moved forward” over they are just going about normal business with or without Aiyuk. Moving forward would’ve been pursuing a different veteran WR with a similar talent profile.
