No great loss.
Suspend Minshew for the awful throw.
Maybe get Neal back now.
The NFL has lost their shit. If they start suspension like Thai for every unavoidable hit

I agree that this hit likely isn't ejection or suspension worthy.
BUT...Kazee made his own bed with several hits this season and last where he definitely did lead with his head.
Listen to the GOAT
After an ejection for a hard hit on Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. on Saturday, Steelers safety Damontae Kazee has been suspended for the final three games of the regular season without pay for repeated violation of rules meant to protect the health and safety of players, the NFL announced Monday.
The suspension also includes any potential playoff games.

Meh…just more shit to throw on the 2023 pile…

What a dumbass decision.
You see players intentionally hitting people late out of bounds or taking cheap shots that get a 15 yard penalty and that's it.
This is a football play. Two players running towards each other because of a shitty throw hanging in the air too long......and this is the player you suspend for the season and take all this man's money?
What a joke the NFL has become regarding these hits.

The laughter is incredibly thoughtless and cruel!
Reading the various reporting and updates on this....Kazee isn't "actually" suspended for this specific hit.
He's being suspended for, in the NFL's opinion, being incapable of learning. Apparently he has been fined, warned, and notified multiple times regarding his (again in the NFL's opinion) consistent leading with his head/helmet when tackling.
Then, again....according to the NFL....he did it (yet) again. So they suspended him for a (in their opinion...not mine) a pattern of behavior.
I think it is kinda all more than a bit stupid....but Kazee was not suspended for this specific hit or for one instance....he is, in the NFL eyes, a habitual offender. And the NFL has made it clear....they are serious about suspending guys.
Jaylen Warren would have to pay any fines for Kazee's hit.
How about if defensive players can't make a hit because an offensive guy lays themselves out, then if offensive players dive like Pittman did they lose protection from hits like this. They keep saying "defenseless player" but the players are PUTTING themselves in defenseless positions.
Some of this falls on the QB/receiver, 10-20 years ago, receivers wouldn't even try to make that catch because they knew a guy like Ronnie Lott, or Andre Waters would be sitting back there waiting for them.
The NFL network didn't show this angle on the replay and we all know why:

Kazee had no choice, short of just letting him catch it. He led with his shoulder, and Pittman dove himself into that hit. Kazee should immediately appeal this nonsense.
Tom Brady was right, sometimes the QB is responsible for putting their players in this position.
the game is almost not football anymore ....
these penalties are always on the defender so apparently player safety is just for offensive players ....
James Harrison is going to be fined for this.
I can’t defend this hit. I think Kazee was unfairly fined for a good sack on a blitz early in the season bjt this hit was avoidable. Gotta play the ball on this one, may have had a chance to rip it for an INT. That freeze frame has him head down real close to the ground which can lead to Kazee injuring himself.
I don’t think he should be suspended for the rest of the season but I was not shocked he was thrown out.
I was shocked. It's pretty rare that a player gets ejected, and most that do don't get ejected for a play.

Fuck, from the looks of that angle, Kazee hit Pittman with his back more than anything, which of course required lowering his head, and I also see no other way of making this tackle considering that both players were running at full speed towards the intersection where the ball was headed. The NFL is more bullshit than it's ever been.
Good point.
The league does not care about player safety. They just do knee jerk reactions to make it look like they care.
I wonder why wasn't the player who hit Dak Prescott the other day also ejected from the game? I saw the clip. Just as dangerous as Kazee.

you know the league got it wrong when Colts coaches are standing up for Kazee .... this needs reversed and reversed now
It is important to note that the main Colts coach is a certain former Steelers safety who drew almost universal criticism when on the team from fans for only looking for the big hit....
what we must consider in all of this IMO is 2 things ...
1) he has to face his current team daily so if it was a play considered "evil" by his team he would look like a traitor and be ridiculed as such
2) Mike Mitchell's game and Kazee's game couldn't be more dissimilar ... Mitchell was all about the big Hit , Kazee while he can lay the wood is a ball hawk of sorts and Mitchell was anything but with 11 career picks in 10 years... Kazee had 7 in one season
just my 2 cents
