I think this is incorrect. The new team has the same rights regarding the 5th year option. I'm 99.9% sure. The Panthers did it with Sam Darnold a couple years ago.Quote:

Never understood why people give Marshawn crap about being a gang member or “thug”.
Lynch was raised by a single mother with a father that was in and out of jail for most, if not all of his childhood. Living in a ghetto that got no help from outside. Dude overcame big time. Got a ride to Cal after becoming a great athlete, had a great NFL career, helps the community much more than a lot of NFL players. He got a DUI (maybe two) and doesn’t want to talk to the media…they label him a thug? Has long dreadlocks, crazy teeth…let’s call him a thug. What has Lynch done that is really thug-like? Is someone offended that he grabbed his crotch area? You know his friends and family say he did that on purpose for the money to go to charity…but let’s say he was being an asshole…still not thug like.
You know what’s thug like? Some of the presidents that have been elected and some of their actions…
I hope everyone who hates all the quarterback changes will be genuinely happy if they’re wrong and it pays off on the field. Somehow, I’m not convinced some will be happy.
