Bolden is starting and word about the 2011-2012 Big Ten Situation.
Yep. SCM posted an article, but here's what it said today in the Trib...
PSU freshman wins QB job
Robert Bolden will start Penn State's season-opener Saturday against Youngstown State, becoming the first true freshman quarterback to start a game for the Nittany Lions since Wally Richardson vs. Temple on Sept. 12, 1992.

So what do you guys think of the new divisions?
I like the divisions as well, and we get to play Nebraska every year that will be a great rivalry I can see already. Next year at the end of the year is going to be a tough one with playing Neb, OSU, and Wisky def gonna show what we are made of.
I'm sure we will see all three QB's on saturday. Bolden will really see some action at Bama and see what he is really made of.
Let's go Penn State!!!
I know its early but 7-3 Youngstown St. 80 yd catch and run.
That would have been good from 50 nice kick. But 2 FG's UHH need TD's
WOW ... My Penguins are doing a lot better than I expected. I figured they MIGHT get a FG or two.
Wow - PSU did not need to give that ball up.
PSU takes the lead!!!!
Is it just me but everytime you turn around the Youngstown St. coaches are in some players face yelling?
What a great run.
Yea that was exciting!!
Penn State is going to need some of that when they play Alabama next week.
Its going to be tough a true freshman in that enviroment, but if the defense comes to play and Royster can run down hill and a speacial team play, I know thats alot of if's but thats why they play the game. You never know
And PSU scores again!!!!
Great game to watch if you are a PSU fan!
44 - 14 final Penn Sate - Great game!
They certainly took their bumps and bruises today, but as far as I am concerned it was probably just first game jitters. Good Job by the Nittany Lions. However, play like they did in the first half, and it could get REALLL ugly next week.
I hope we get our running game going, I know it was the season opener and all but it will be a long day for Bolden if we cant get anything going on the ground next week. Other than that I loved how sound our tackling was today. I think Bolden if he keeps it up will have a nice college career. He has that calm look back in the pocket.
That will be criticial. Silas Redd and Royster can make an excellent 1-2 Punch, but this O-Line MUST be able to block for them because that Bryant-Denny Stadium Crowd is BRUTAL and one thing Saban coached teams feed off of is Crowd Energy.
Yes, it could, but I think it's gonna be one hell of a game either way. It's gonna be a task to take out the champs in their own backyard. I hear it's gonna be steamy humid too... at least it's an evening game.
Living in the SE, I would get no greater satisfaction than kicking some crimson hide. Their fans finally got to dig out their gump hats last year, and they haven't closed their yappers for 8 months.
If we can sneak a win here, it could give us tons of confidence right out of the gate. If we don't... at least it's early in the season.
One more reason why I have a good feeling that the trainers are stressing that the players keep hydrated this week. IT COULD BE CRUCIAL. This team is going to be bringing it's A Game.
Btw: Ingram is NOT likely to play which should help, but Trent Richardson isn't an easy SOB either.
I think that the game will be great. It will be a tough one, but I would love to see a big upset and see PSU really pull it out.
