Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings...
Can't wait to actually watch a little bit of Brown up close.
Very good hand, but plays more for pass breakups than Ints. He likes to lay off the WR till the ball is in the air, then use his closing speed to get to the ball. That will not work as well in the pros, but he will adjust. He is light, but a decent tacker, and I think is more physical than Williams. I said before, I think he can be better that Williams.
Some info on Brown: http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings...2011&genpos=CB

I'd like to see them get an OG next. I'm happy with the picks.
I'd risk a 4th...though I'd be happier to risk a 5th, haha. The OL could be interesting...does Colon re-sign...where does he go...stay at RT? Move to RG? What about the unknown Chris Scott...hes a RG/RT also...could he be a potential starter? Is Gilbert 100% RT only or do they think he can play LT too? Theres even Foster who played decent at RG. Lots of questions for sure...which make me wonder if they'd use another pick on the OL or what.
Wow! I'm just amazed, and very happy, that Brown was still there in round 3, especially after that mini CB run. I'm very happy with our first 3 picks and it goes to show once again that our FO knows what they're doing. The rest of this draft is gravy.
Right on...much happier with this years draft compared to last years first 3 rounds. Pouncey was great then the next 2 (Woirlds and Sanders) were "huh moments"...and some say they were over drafted. Sanders did show why he was a 3rd rounder as the year went on but still.
I think I may need to start paying attention to college ball a little more. I know about squat about pretty much all of these players. :chuckle:

Swing and a miss:
Steelers drafting Marcus Gilbert. The Florida offensive tackle was all over the board –- one team even had him has a possible first-rounder. But most had him going as low as the fifth round. I had him in my 100-to-125 plateau, so No. 63 is a bit risky.
Sucks I wont be here for the final day of the draft, hope everyone enjoys it.
Can't really complain about Curtis in the 3rd. But I think we can get yet another DB in Davon House if he falls to us in the 4th
Based on how the draft has gone so far...
I would like to see these picks
4. Jaquizz Rogers, RB, Oregon State
5. Julius Thomas, TE, Portland State / Zach Hurd, OG, Connecticut
6. Mark Legree, FS, Appalachian State / Bruce Miller, OLB, Central Florida
7. Frank Kearse, NT, Alabama A&M
Well, I'm glad we got a CB, and a better one than I thought we'd get that low too. It's a bummer that we missed out on a guy who looked like a kick-ass nose tackle by one pick, though. Every year, we need to find a big fat guy to eventually take over for Hampton, and every year, we put it off one more season...
I'm with Gil. I think #63 ia a bit high for Gilbert. He is more likely a bust than a boom pick. For a guy that is probably going to be a RT only , I would rather have gone with Joseph Barksdale. Neither was worth a 2nd round pick IMO>
Hope we can get Jerrell Powe in the 4th and replace Hoke.
My list of guys to look in the last day of the draft.
