Question wasn't for me but I will offer .... I don't think Pickett has shown he can be as good as either of those players as of this point. The chances are he probably won't, just like the chances are Fields will not turn his career around. It's just rare for players to have a better second or third act. I will say one thing for Pickett: he did show a bit of a clutch gene in his limited play, which neither Romo or Cousins have shown. But, at this point, I'd have to take Cousin or Romo over Pickett all day.

Re: Kenny Pickett traded to Eagles.
A lot of Kenny Pickett talk in these last few pages by people who've told us they're tired of talking about Kenny Pickett. :boink:

True. At least it is in the Kenny Pickett thread this time.

Re: Kenny Pickett traded to Eagles.
Some have KP as the worst Qb they have ever seen play the game smh. The truth is nobody has really seen KP's potential just flashes of sort. He was so badly mismanaged here its a wonder he even won any games. But yeah, he's a crying little bitch for wanting out.

That is certainly not true.
I remember Duck Hodges.

Same Duck Hodges that beat out Mason Rudolph for playing time?

Re: Kenny Pickett traded to Eagles.
Pickett is not a Steeler. He’s a quitter. I hope he subs for Hurts one game and throws 5 picks. Then I hope Hurts comes back and throws 6 picks. That way the Kenny fans (aka “fan”) can say he played better than Hurts.

You're not a quitter if your coach quits on you first.

If the employee ain’t cutting it you bring in someone who can do the job. That’s the job of the supervisor. Its business. No participation trophies in NFL. Tomlin has his flaws but quitting isn’t one of them.

Re: Kenny Pickett traded to Eagles.
Tomlin had been in fact patient with Pickett....

Same with Canada.

It’s subjective. I agree most wanted him gone earlier but the fact he was let go mid season was a plus. Most thought it would be post season.

It was one year too late

Mason > Duck regardless. At any rate the quote I was responding to was that Kenny was the worst QB that some have ever seen play. I do not believe this can be true.

What if it's the boss who ain't cutting it?

That's a decision the senior management team would make, not people who shop at the store.

well they fired the branch manager (Canada) but a little too late. Unfortunately the employee got the axe too (KP)

Employee didn’t get the axe. He got a new role, with room to advance based on performance and same pay. He decided to whine about it and was replaced. That’s on him…

new role? More like probable demotion
-
Re: Kenny Pickett traded to Eagles.
This is not only in Pittsburgh,a QB would been benched after 13 TD pass in 24 starts...Tomlin was very patient...Not like he was with Canada but still very patient with Kenny
-
Re: Kenny Pickett traded to Eagles.
at this juncture in this thread alone there has been 2 pages of debate for every TD pass he threw as a Pro

well, one more page for Matakevich and it’ll equal his total solo tackles from last year.

I recall Kenny asking to be traded and that was granted. I remember him saying that he has no hard feelings towards the Steelers and he did what he felt was the best move for him. I can't recall all this crying kicking and 'whining' certain members on here keep repeating over and over and over. :blah:

Re: Kenny Pickett traded to Eagles.
If true…and that’s a big if…refusing to suit up as the backup is a pretty entitled piss boy move.
At the time I dismissed it as nonsense but in hindsight( I kinda think it might’ve happened.

With the same pay. That’s a new role, a demotion would also include a reduction in salary..,which is not the case in Picketts situation. He was an insubordinate employee who refused to work. [emoji23]

He was demoted with no room to advance, like Mason five years ago.

newsflash: going from starter to backup is a demotion. The pay is irrelevant since were dealing with contracts not salaries.
question is did he deserve it. To me he didn't. But the steelers have some aging stars and want to fastrack a shot to the superbowl and a coach who doesn't have the patience to watch a young Qb grow.
