They got rid of their best QB on the roster. If they kept him, they might be deep into playoff contention…might…

i was hoping to see dobbs get a chance. honestly i thought he could be a decent qb. he's probably way more ready than willis is

I could see Dobbs here next year backing up KP.

Josh Dobbs is going to pull a Geno Smith: not given a real chance for a decade… and then, lead a team to the playoffs.

I wouldn't mind that, but i doubt it'll be anybody else but trubisky still since he'll be under contract next year.

But I would like to see Dobbs get a chance to start somewhere, though I thought he had a decent shot in Cleveland with Brisett as his competition

Dobbs will never get a chance to start. He can make a good living though if he can just catch on as a QB2.

read what you quoted and it should be pretty clear what was said, it has nothing to do with Kittle or anyone else that was available , it also has nothing to do with the Steelers ... its all about what Dobbs did in the preseason vs every other qb on the Browns roster during that same time frame ...

I'm not a fan of those kind of prospects tbh, high bust rate. Very rarely do you get QB's who are unable to throw accurate passes all of a sudden get it.

If the Dolphins win tomorrow, the Steelers are out before they even play on Sunday Night.

Imagine if Pickett played all season. The losses against the Dolphins, Pat, and Jets are killing us now. Even one win against those three would be huge now.

Technically, if the Jets win this weekend we are toast as well since they play the Dolphins next week. Barring a tie in that game next week, the winner would eliminate the Steelers.

I understand your point, but at the same time this year is a new era with a rookie QB, so even if the steelers make the playoffs and they still lose by a lot, the second half of the season will still be positive for this young offense...They just need a new OC, better o-line and Kenny keep improving and they're going to be in a good position...
