I tried installing a plugin for this, but it caused the board to throw all kinds of errors, so I had to uninstall it. Maybe if the developer ever gets it past the beta stage. :noidea:
About the only other way to do this would be to allow HTML in posts, and that's way too big of a security risk. Sorry.

I figured that's what was going on a few minutes ago.
Thanks for trying!

Same here. Oh well it was worth a shot.

The camp's 1st practice is a walk-through conducted in a steady rain. Fields look nice, though.

Re: 2013 Camp Notes and Nuggets
Kinda like this? I did some tweaking with that plugin and got it to work.
Only problem is since the plugin is still in development, it doesn't supply a button and it needs to be done manually:
[ TWEET]Tweet ID Number[/ TWEET]

It's the numbers in the URL of the tweet if you wanted to link it. So you can click "Details" if it comes up or find the numbers when you click "Embed Tweet"

Now tell us how you did it.
You need to wrap the ID number of the tweet you want to post here in "tweet tags":
[TWE ET]Tweet ID Number[/TWE ET] (Had to put in a space in the word tweet to get the tags to show up)
The "Tweet ID" can be found in the browser address bar:

I'm not seeing anything that looks like that anywhere. The number is not in my browser bar.

[TWEET]361149290342649856[TWEET]
On the Tweet itself, click on "Expand" and then click the "Details" link - that will reopen the tweet in its own web page and in the address bar the ID of the tweet should be visible.
And the second, or closing tweet tag after the Tweet ID should have a forward slash "/" right before "TWEET".

Don't think you did it wrong if the picture doesn't come up right away. It didn't for me right away then came up after I refreshed the page.
Good job Gary!

:) It worked once I reloaded the page.
:( It's faster to copy and paste the tweets with as many as I do.

Re: 2013 Camp Notes and Nuggets
The tweet ID is also in the embed string. Looks about 19 digits in length.

Yeah, the plugin is still in development, so hopefully the developer adds a forum button for it soon.

Re: 2013 Camp Notes and Nuggets
fansince76, don't know if you read this in the article that stillers4me posted (the dev twitter)
Quote:
2. If you cannot reliably work with HTML in your articles, then you or your website team should instead add a single <script> to your main website template. In your template, find the end of the page, the closing </body> tag, and add the following code before it.
<script>!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);j s.id=id;js.src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}} (document,"script","twitter-wjs");</script>
That will include the initialization code for embedded Tweets separate of your CMS content editor, and you will be able to use embedded Tweets in any page of your site without further modification.
Not sure if that can be applied to vbulletin.

Yeah, that doesn't really address adding a button in ckeditor for the plugin, unfortunately.
