First round have started at 2 am finished at 6 am. I have watched, and then gone to work. Second day started at 1 am and finished at 5:30. Watched it and gone to work.
Third day was easy, started at 6 pm and finished at 1:30. And tommorow i dont have to go to work. I had afternoon naps. And i enjoyed every second of the draft and the naps also. :chuckle:

Steelers drafted a LOT of athletic potential and size/speed mismatches. If Bryant and McCullers specifically can develop into solid players, watch out (of course if both those guys had already tapped into their potential, both would have been first round picks)

What's with all the crying by those when they receive the call? Are they football players or figure skaters? Not to mention how the media is trying to legitimize the Ram's pick which is all over the news where he hugged his boyfriends when he got the call. That's sick.

I really don't care who the man sleeps with. Can he play football? But all we are going to subject to is his sexuality preference as he goes through this process. Does anybody really care if a player is black or white??? I. Don't. Care. Can they play football and are they good people. That's all I care about.

It's creepy and nasty. He isn't the first gay person to play in the NFL, but that type of behavior is not normal no matter how much tv coverage it receives. It would be better if the media did not portray guys sucking each other off as traditional American values when they are not. ESPN has no credibility anymore.

It was bad enough that the media force-fed coverage of Clowney and Manzeil, but the media coverage surrounding this borderline draftable prospect who may or may not make any impact in the NFL just because he came out of the closet is ridiculous. I don't think any other draft pick outside of Clowney and Manzeil got this much attention upon getting drafted. If he didn't come out of the closet, he would just be some guy who you read got drafted late then never hear from again. Political correctness does not belong in sports

In some of the statements in this thread against Michael Sam and others of his sexual orientation replace whatever word or phrase that indicates "gay" with one of the following:

women
jews
irish
black
chinese
mexican
italian
slavic

Then read the statement again and ask yourself if it still seems okay. All of the groups on that list were once discriminated against both actively and passively by large portions of society. A variety of reasons were used to justify that discrimination. Over time it was acknowledged that this discrimination was wrong and deeply offensive.

I know I won't be changing anyone's mind with this note, but I felt something needed to be said, I won't be stopping back by this thread to continue arguing or harassing folks on the issue either.

For what it's worth being those things is not against anyone's deeply personal religious belief. With the exception of Jews.

And at the same time many here don't care if he's gay, they just don't tune in to ESPN to see men kissing. The TV/Media cannot just let it be ok to not hate gays, they gotta try and make you celebrate it

Honestly, if he was Mexican also I would be even more offended. Now if it was two hot female cheerleaders kissing and grinding, that would not be offensive at all. It's not that I am against gays, just guys acting out in public and then being forced fed an agenda. It's wrong.
