Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
I loved the return of The Rock. No one does a promo like he does. You could tell he was living it up during his time in the ring. I'm thinking he'll do a few matches here and there but probably won't do much else. Could be wrong, and he does look in good shape, so it'll be interesting to see what part he plays in Wrestlemania.
I can see him slapping both The Miz and Cena around that night...
Now to TNA, it seems they are trying to turn Anderson in to their version of Stonecold. Just hitting everyone and anyone that gets in his way. Still not sure what direction they are going with Angle and Double J, let alone half the roster. They just seem in limbo right now. It sucks because I like the talent they've got going.

Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
Angle needs to go back to WWE
-
Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
TNA seems lost with over half of what its doing. There is so much talent there and its being wasted. Bring back the X division that helped build TNA. Bischoff and Hogan need to take their egos to the back and build it behind the scenes or just go away. Stop the stupid Immortal angle. Give us toughness and action and no gimmicks.

Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
So we get The Undertaker and HHH returning to the WWE. Think Vince finally understood that the majority of his talent is the old school wrestlers and no one can carry the WWE like they did. WWE is heading for a hard crash in another 3-5 years depending on how long these older guys can hang. Orton seems to be the only one that can carry the WWE on his shoulders, but I think he'll burn out if they make him carry the load by himself. The WWE needs some competition for Orton and they need it now.

Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
If you think Blandy Boreton is the WWE's last hope then they are SCREWED.

Even worse. I'm not a big Triple H fan and Taker is old (Actually Triple H is also old). But, their matchup at WM is overdue so it's a natural progression. But long term, they don't have anyone who can take over.

Exactly, that's the problem with WWE, they don't have anyone to take over and put the company on their shoulders while in TNA they've got a few wrestlers who could tote the line.
This reminds me of the WWE after Hogan left, they didn't have anyone to carry the load. And it'll probably be a few more years before they gather the talent pool the likes of what they had in the mid-late 90's.

Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
Taker and HHH met at WrestleMania 17. Sting has returned to TNA and beat Jeff Hardy last night for the World title. Itll be shown Thursday night.
-
Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
I hope they put this Undertaker HHH thing into continuity with HBK last year. One thing is for sure, if and when Vince decides to put someone over and end the Streak.....that person better become the next guy to carry the company. Takers streak only means anything while he's still active. If he goes out losing his streak it puts whoever beats him HUGELY over. It should end next year and it should be deadmans last match. Which means they have a year to build up one of the guys on the current roster. I nominate John Morrison.
Get him new enterance music too, please.
-
Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
It really suprised me that Miz got the World title before Morrison. If they end the streak the guy that ends it better be able to take the heat itll bring.

Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
Even even even worse. I forgot about that match. Now, WWE is hanging on the Rock's return, re-signed an old Diesel and Booker T and now has 2 old farts in the main even of WM, meanwhile, TNA has Sting, Flair, and Hogan with a combined age of 100,000.

Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
I haven't watched wrestling since I was in middle school, so like 9 or so years ago.
Well I'm back at it now because what my friend told me is true, the Rock is back!

Don't know what you said but his promos are epic. He is the only reason I'm watching right now. Other than that, Yawn.

Surprising. Haven't watched in a while, but who has gone missing for that to last this long?
-
Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
No one really. Cena has had a few shots at the belt and Ryback as well. They seem really content on a Punk Rock match at Royal Rumble.
-
Re: Any Pro Wrestling Fans Out There?
There was a time when I was really a fan of wrestling and love to see, don't even miss a single show of it. But since fewer of my favorites get retired, I am very often to see now. Infect almost lose the interest which use to have in earlier.

WWF Attitude era guy to. A golden age. WCW was good in its matches, just never got to into their characters and storylines. Shit I remember during the Attitude Era the cards were so well planned that even Sunday Night Heat was fun to watch with the lower level stars. I miss the shattering glass, the electrifying moves of the rock. Guys who cared and sold a damn good show that got you exhausted just from watching it. Ill never forget watching the match where The Rock Beats Triple H . The crowd was insane.
Now, its unwatchable. I sure hope McMahon decides to grow up his audience and institure more attitude. That remains to be seen.
