Opening Day Poem (09/09/11)

So glad I have something to write about this year!! :)

Are you ready for some football? It’s finally here
Most of us thought there would be no games this year
The lockout ended just in time
So this will be this season’s first rhyme
Our Steelers didn’t finish the Superbowl with the winning score
But most of our players have returned hungry for more
Last year is over - we start with a clean slate
Talented veterans and rookies with potential to be great
It’s going to be brutal and it starts right away
When we go to Baltimore to play the Ravens Sunday
We don’t like them - they don’t like us
They make us want to yell, scream, and cuss
The game is coming - the battle lines have been drawn
We’ll be the winner when the last second is gone
