On the Steelers: Mendenhall destined for same fate as Parker?
As promised, Mike Tomlin ran Willie Parker until his wheels came off and now it's Rashard Mendenhall's turn.
Parker was leading the league in rushing entering the 15th game of the 2007 season when his leg was broken. He finished with 1,316 yards and his career was finished 20 months later.
Parker carried 337 times in 2006 for 1,494 yards and 321 times in 2007, when he would have had another 40-50 carries had his injury not occurred................

If we keep under utilizing Redman he will be! I'm lobbying for around 100 carries for Redman a year. He can definitely handle it.

Redman's entering his second year actually playing, let him have the ball! Kid's proven he can do it by now
If mendy continues having such a big load I doubt we'll make an effort to retain him once his contract is up, because they'll know he won't have much left

I would say ideal carries would be about 290 for Mendenhall and about 100 for Redman. With a few for Dwyer or Moore if we keep him.
