The Official Kenny Pickett thread
he isn't a steeler so lets start putting posts about him in the section designed for non steeler players ....

Re: The Official Kenny Pickett thread
Only one person still has a obsession with Kenny among steelers fans(not just in this forum),this is just crazy and pathetic at the same time

The Official Kenny Pickett thread
There’s a reason the Kenny Pickett threads were closed down…

apparently because he keeps being brought up by a specific user here , so perhaps if he has a dedicated thread for him then he wont post about him in every other thread

Let's be fair I've see a few members here not just one who don't like KP but keep bringing him up. Anyway good idea with the thread at least it won't be on the main board.

agreed, the back forth about KP in the steelers threads has gotten old. Some people like to keep poking fun. We have Qb now, time to move on.
i will say my first reaction when we drafted KP was a little sceptical. I dont like Qb’s who wear gloves on their throwing hands, but after 2022, i thought he would be the guy. 2023 proved otherwise, due to Canada (at least in part). anyway, time to move on.

I didnt see that game but its the typical stat line we were accustomed to here in Pittsburgh with KP and MC

I watched the second half. Pickett didn’t play well. He was exactly the same as when he was in Pittsburgh. If Hurts is out a while, the Eagles are in trouble.

No, I get it. He did have a bad interception in the first half, but he came in and basically managed the offense well. The Eagles defense gave up that lead on some bad plays and blown coverages.
When they asked Pickett to lead them at the end of the game, he led them to the go-ahead field goal. Then the Eagles got the ball back with a turnover. Pickett threw the pass right in the hands of Smith but he dropped it. They settled for the field goal there, but it left the door open with 2 minutes left for Washington to go down the field and win with a touchdown.
Pickett didn't lose that game. It's a game the Eagles should have won.

I guess we'll see. They didn't ask him to do much until the end of the game. He basically came through when they needed him most. That sounds a little bit familiar.
It was his first serious time in this offense. We'll find out more if Hurts misses any real time.

Re: The Official Kenny Pickett thread
Also, Jalen Hurts was 1-4 for 11 yards and 2.8 YPA, 88.9 QBR 39.6 Rating when he was injured in the first quarter. Hurts also had 3 carries for 41 yards.
Pickett ran for 13 yards.

The Eagles let a team with 5 turnovers that trailed by two touchdowns in the 4th quarter to beat them. No way Hurts allows that. That’s Kenny Pickett work.

OK, sure.
The Eagles scored 33 points. When Pickett came in the game the Eagles led 7-0. So in roughly three and a half quarters the Eagles scored 26 points with Pickett as QB.
Washington scored 36 points and Jayden Daniels had 5 TDs. Last time I checked, Pickett didn't play defense.
Come on man. Some of the hate here is silly.

He’s gonna have to play a lot better than that before I will ever give him credit. I don’t hate him as a person. I don’t hate anyone. But I will never root for him as a player. That’s for sure.
i have no hidden agenda.

Nobody here is claiming he proved anything today. I think you are taking this a little too personally about Pickett.

I just don’t think he played well unless it was in the first half that I didn’t see. Why is there a need for agreement? It’s just my opinion.

Re: The Official Kenny Pickett thread
Pickett wasn’t nearly as bad as people think. Like someone said he led two “game winning” drives. Wasn’t perfect, wasn’t terrible. Better than Sam Howell [emoji23] but not nearly as good as DangerRuss. [emoji732]️ [emoji3544]

Re: The Official Kenny Pickett thread
I’ll tell you a guy that looked good even without big stats is Michael Penix. That kid throws it on a rope and very accurately. He has a canon!
