Problems viewing this message board

I did an update of my Edge browser a couple days ago. After restarting my computer, I am seeing this forum in sort of a list fashion. It doesn't show like it is supposed to. It is pretty much unusable because it is much too difficult to figure out and to post. I just wanted to get this out there and ask that anyone here mention it to Gary or Ezra Tank to see if they can figure out what's going on.Anybody that comes here with this issue certainly isn't going to stick around.It is also doing the same thing on my phone. I use Chrome browser on my phone and have the same thing happening there.I hope there is a way to fix this issue.Also, it keeps asking me to log in even though it welcomes me as pczach. Also, when I click to submit my post it says this is not a secure site and kicks me out to where I have to sign in again, then go back and try to submit again. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks

My issue is with failure to remember password. I have to sign in if I come in and try to post or reply to a quote. I also get the white background/outline/list look when entering. It goes away for me when I tap on the black background above Steelers Universe where Rooney and the emblem are located.

Clicking on that banner at the top does nothing for me. Just takes me to another page with the same look.Thanks.

Google how to set things in your preferred browser to allow insecure content from just this site.

I had to do it. There’s something or up to recent browser standards about this forums security protocols.

Yeah, there is definitely an issue with VBulletin 4 (the forum software this site is running) and recent updates in both Chrome and Edge - Planet Steelers is experiencing the same thing (link).

I have spoken to Ezra Tank recently and suggested we wait on transferring board control to him until the offseason, which he was agreeable to. I also think it might be time to move the board away from VBulletin to Xenforo, which I am also going to suggest. This would be a MAJOR change involving transferring the board database, so it's DEFINITELY an offseason project.

Xenforo is also much more mobile-friendly from my understanding, so we could also finally get away from Tapatalk, which has, quite frankly, pretty much always sucked.

As a temporary workaround, I would suggest using Firefox with the site as that browser still works correctly with it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I use Firefox and I'm fine. And when I go to this site I don't even have to log in, I'm already in.

I bought a new (refurbished) computer and I had to reset everything up and had the same issue as pczach. This above solved the issue for me on chrome.

I use Firefox or safari and no issues. Don’t like going away from Tapatalk tho! [emoji38]

firefox is my browser of choice and works fine here

That guy who started "Steelers Country" (that lasted about a week before it went offline) was using Xenforo. I thought you liked it(?)

Before I did anything I came here to get the message out in case it was something this was happening to many at one time. I figured I would get the message out to the board first before I even tried to fix it myself.

What does thesteelersfans.com use? They have the best setup with tabs at the top and bottom of each page, When you click on threads, it automatically takes you to your unread posts in that thread. It's very user friendly that way.

I also haven't had my current issue with that site.

I was coming here to post this. Never seen or used Xenforo, but I'll read up on it for the future.

I use Firefox but only because I have years of self built extensions. Why anyone would choose to use Microsoft Edge is beyond me :bounce:. I actually remove it from my computers, but that's another topic.

Firefox works for me to fix the problem too. But it does make me log in every time.

Mojouw gave another solution above in post #5.

You need to google how to allow insecure content just from this website using the browser you use. Follow those directions.

It worked for me and things are back to normal.

I use firefox as well and never have to sign in. Make sure you have the latest version and obviously check the remember me box. If you have all that, try to clear the cache and cookies. If that doesn't work, try uninstalling it and reinstall it and that might work.
