Prime-Time NFL Football thread.
Ok, any night the NFL puts on a prime-time game and tries to tell us that two mediocre teams are ready for primetime. Of course, some nights, it is a game worthy of primetime. The KC/ Detroit opener is one of those worthy matchups.
Thoughts on game: Just always seems like Mahomes is just playing with opponents until the fourth quarter. However, he clearly misses all world TE. I could also do without the mic'd up parents.
TD KC., Just toying with the rest of the NFL.

The Lions (like the Browns) are the team the experts always start "creaming over" every time they have a decent roster. That said, I like this Lions team in a pretty weak division (and conference).

Cam Sutton PI.

That was a "turable" play by Cam Sutton (in my best Charles Barkley voice)

Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.
Mahomes is killing KC with the run.

Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.
Good game TD Detroit. I see similarities between Detroit's offense and what the Steelers are trying to do. I think we could more explosive though.
Mahomes turn

Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.
Gutsy move by KC. Or dumb move.

4th and 25? Mahomes or not, you punt that ball.

Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.
Yeah, Reid messed up there.

Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.
This is the Chiefs' current WR core. Turns out having receivers worth a damn makes a difference.
-
Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.
Mahomes was pretty pedestrian as well. If KC has Jones and Kelce, they win that game. Close but they win it.

Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.

that box score was before the game ended Toney had 5 targets 4 drops one that was a deflection off his hands for a pick 6 and skyy moore ended up with a catch but yeah they suck at the WR pos... we have guys that might not get a hat every week that would get decent playing time there

Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.
Cowboys D is pretty fierce, as much as that pains me to say. Giants had a meltdown on their drive.

Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.
Come on G'men. Always take a little edge off when we lose if Dallas also loses.

Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.

Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.
I think we are seeing the result of teams just not being prepared. One less preseason game, with such a fear of injury that starters rarely play anyways. Also, very little contact compared to the past. Thats not an excuse, as everybody has the same rules. However, it does seem like more and more teams (even the talented ones) just don't seem right at the beginning of the year. Besides the Steelers, the Bengals, Eagles (to some extent) KC, Seattle looked very underwhelming.

I totally agree. First 3-4 games are now ramp up. Get to week four no worse than .500 and make your run.
It's just how it is now.

33 to zip. "We're not as bad as the Giants, We're not as bad as the Giants."
-
Re: Prime-Time NFL Football thread.
Would you believe 40 to zip? We're not as bad as the Giants.

If the Giants didn't have bad luck they'd have no luck at all.
