Jonathan Gannon, head coach of the Cards...
He was the DC of the eagles
Re: Jonathan Gannon, head coach of the Cards...
I'm predicting this is another bad hire for my #2 team.
Re: Jonathan Gannon, head coach of the Cards...
The Eagles defense was the reason they lost the Superbowl. The offense put up 35 points and the defense gave up 31 points (not counting the fumble return). All we heard all week as how good their front 4 was, they had the 3rd best year ever in sacks ... blah ... blah ... blah ... then they get zero sacks and few pressures on a QB playing on 1.5 ankles. I cannot believe they didn't blitz Mahomes playing on that injured ankle.
Re: Jonathan Gannon, head coach of the Cards...
Not to mention the two total breakdowns on those motion touchdowns.
Re: Jonathan Gannon, head coach of the Cards...
From the few times I was able to see the Eagles defense, I was not impressed that it was some innovative unit. They seemed well coached and fundamentally sound. But they seemed to rely on overwhelming talent rather than big coach brain tactics.
But I only saw a handful of quarters aside from the SB and readily admit that maybe there was a bunch more going on there than I realized.

The key of the success of the eagles defense this year were their historic pass rush....70 sacks in the regular season and most of the sacks were because of their pressure at 4 man,who is the dream for every defensive coach!

Where did the Eagles run game go?? They also let up a 65-yard punt return or whatever is was…

What’s his face’s coaching tree is already bigger than Tomlin’s after two years.

That’s talent and player ability not scheme though, right?
Or was Gannon drawing up razzle dazzle ways to get guys unblocked?

That comes from getting a big lead and start running the clock out on your opponent. Makes them have to throw every play.

Good point.
Sounds like others are not impressed with Gannon?
He was pretty cool in Zelda though…

I didn’t play any of the Zelda series. My oldest son is a huge fan though.

Would say it’s a combination of both as well as having a nice rotation of players to keep fresh legs constantly coming in…
