Pickens says practices at Georgia harder than Steelers
Pittsburgh Steelers rookie wide receiver George Pickens says practices were harder for him in college at the University of Georgia than what he has experienced professionally up to this point. As people fall to pieces over his practice comparison comments, he did play for a national championship-winning team as a junior and a program that sent one player after another to the NFL, especially at the cornerback position. Although he should be going up against comparable competition, the Steelers are a 3-7 team. It is not as strange as it sounds for Pickens to say this

And it's not the first time I hear that for the steelers....

I’m not sure that’s not the case across the whole league…have you actually watched a college/high school practice compared to an NFL practice? There’s no NFLPA protection in college…lol. I can guarantee you my high school two-a-day August practices were more difficult than ANY NFL practice…

Very true. I’ve also read/heard from former players that NFL practices aren’t intended to be physically demanding. Strength and conditioning is an on your own thing as a pro. Practice is for mental and technical things.
Pickens will learn that. Or like, Claypool, he won’t and it’ll start showing up on the field with a lack of execution and technical refinement.

I hear the Chiefs practices are harder.
Re: Pickens says practices at Georgia harder than Steelers
Reading the quote, he says it was because they was "so much talent on the Bulldogs defense". Sounds more like a jab at the defense than at practice itself in Pittsburgh. Imagine being as talented as Pickens and practicing against the Steelers CBs who aren't exactly standouts.
Re: Pickens says practices at Georgia harder than Steelers
considering all the georgia guys are drafted in rd 1-2, it might be like the all madden team lol
