Pickens has an attitude problem as a rookie...
Pickens is insanely talented and it reminds me of TO. TO openly fought with his QBs both Garcia and McNabb. This is unprecedented in the NFL though to do it as a rookie. Even TO didn't do that (granted his QB was initially Steve Young).
That's a poor environment for Pickett to start in. Can't have Pickens speaking reckless on a rookie QB to the press or trying to start a mutiny on the sidelines in game. Just something to keep an eye on, and I was wondering if anyone else knew of similar rookie WRs in the past?

Re: Pickens has an attitude problem as a rookie...
It’s why he dropped into R2.
Top 5 talent… with an explosive attitude.
That said, I’m not worried.

Re: Pickens has an attitude problem as a rookie...
That's on Tomlin and his "patience". When you are hurting your own team competitively because of some arbitrary reason, yeah, don't count on your team to just sit back and just be cool with it.

I still like AB so I'm not worried either. I can just see where this is going with the fanbase and media haha. If I was a reporter I'd try to get stories from Pickens over just about any Steeler because he is candid.

Re: Pickens has an attitude problem as a rookie...
In this case, I'll take it. He SHOULD be pissed off about the offense. It pisses me off and I'm not even on the team. I can't imagine what it would be like if this was your job and you were actually depending on these idiots to run plays for you and throw you the ball.

Re: Pickens has an attitude problem as a rookie...
A lot of the Steelers WRs have to make circus catches because the ball placement is terrible
-
Re: Pickens has an attitude problem as a rookie...
^ Haha yeah that's fair. Michael Irvin was like that. I hope Pickens is like Irvin.

I hope he is more like Swan or Stallworth.

Re: Pickens has an attitude problem as a rookie...
All WRs have attitudes. Got anymore breaking news?

I mean MT is out there throwing passes out of bounds or hospital balls.
Fans are calling those drops now.
Don’t forget, these guys practice with both QBs. Not like they don’t know whose capable of what.

Other receivers on other teams don’t have “attitudes”.

While mostly true, the ball that went straight through DJ's hands was a dime.

Re: Pickens has an attitude problem as a rookie...
Diontae also failed to line up properly negating a probable TD with under 2 min left.

That one was. Most, if not all of the others, whoo-boy.

Was Pickens yelling or arguing with Trubisky or the coaching staff on the sidelines last night, or ripping into them through the media? I did not see or hear about any such incident, so I don't know why he is being compared to Terrell Owens as a diva who creates a toxic environment.

Re: Pickens has an attitude problem as a rookie...
Pickens is immature and has no filter, but he's also extremely competitive. For whatever reason those types of personalities cause headaches but are always extremely talented.
-
Re: Pickens has an attitude problem as a rookie...
He was the pre-season favorite to win OROY. He probably realizes that won’t happen even though he’s good enough to win. He’ll get over it.

This. Was there any evidence of this happening last night or recently?

He’s always been dumb that way. Nothing new.

TO did not act up until later in his career.
You are saying that rookie wide receivers throwing shade at their QBs is normal in the NFL?! OK show some examples. I'll go first, this is a rookie after week 2:
https://youtu.be/nQGUTW_gy70
Steelers fans are hilarious. When a player is young and starting to get good they can do no wrong. I remember how beloved AB was and how he was the nicest guy in the whole world. Now AB is a pariah that is never mentioned despite arguably being a top 5 all-time WR.
I still love AB as a player and the memories he provided. Same for Bell. Some of you saying this is normal for a rookie WR to embarrass a veteran QB publicly will be the first to turn on him which a million percent will happen because that's how Steelers fans are. There's not much love lost for Juju is there?

x2.
I agree. The kid is insanely talented and he KNOWS it. It's his frustration playing with Subpar talent when he KNOWS what he can do. Personally. I love his competitive attitude.
The biggest difference is George is decent kid. AB is a complete arrogant, Narcissistic Asshat.

Yes, show us the evidence. I've not seen any either.

Three games into the season the rookie wide receiver is already throwing a tantrum on the field. I don’t see it getting better. I see it getting a lot worse as time goes on.

It didn't look like a tantrum as much as frustration. I'd be frustrated as hell too if I felt I was constantly getting open and my QB wasn't looking my way, or even trying to. The level of frustration with the WRs and even Freiermuth has been palpable

It will get worse from all angles. Not just Pickens.
At this rate as long as Tomlin keeps stubbornly trotting out Trubbish at QB, Pickens will become AB by the end of the season.

Re: Pickens has an attitude problem as a rookie...
I never saw anything. Where’s the video or details of this alleged behavior?

Nah bro…it wasn’t anywhere near a tantrum…lol.
So fan base hated AB, hated JuJu, hates DJ and now hate George Pickens. Cool.

Friermuth has expressed on field frustration. Yet no one says anything.

He’s white and from Penn State.
