Yeah, pretty basic stuff. The Eagles are showing cover 2 high and Ben knows he has a short 8 being run from the slot on the right side, so the Safety should have to respect that. Changing the route to an out or even a corner should hold the safety long enough to give Claypool the space to run the seam.
When it happened, what I noticed most was Ben locked in on JuJu first to hold the safety with his eyes and then came back to Claypool in the slot.
Remember all the times that we as Steeler fans went crazy when Keenan Allen got isolated on Vince Williams last year? Or any time Vince Williams was on the other team's WR?? That is what Eagles fans are thinking about this play.

It was still a horrible playcall by him, but the problem with Butler against the chargers in 2018, the steelers had this problem in the entire gameQuote:

I agree. I don’t think Brady, Peyton or Brees would’ve been as successful as Ben in Ben’s situation just based on the fact that they couldn’t take the beating Ben did in the offenses Ben played in. Sure there’s the “he held onto the ball too long” excuses, but there’s also the fact that these plays he was running weren’t designed for quick passes and for every “held the ball too long play”, he made 2-3 that he was able to extend with his “escapability”.Quote:

Nice breakdown, like to see that the rookie picked up the changes on the fly. Shows he has the smarts to be a great player if he puts in the time.
