This is actually a good signing. Flacco can do well as a journeyman backup. I also heard the price was $1.5 million (insanely cheap)
He’s injured or I’d like this deal a lot more.
Out of all the “backups” the Steelers “should’ve signed”, you never saw much about Flacco being the “good fit”. It was always Newton, Winston, Rivers, Dalton, Rosen etc. hell there were even some Brady ones and a Rodgers trade. Not much Flacco.
I actually think Flacco would’ve been the best fit as a veteran backup to Ben. Definitely not the most talented and on downside of the career but on an experience/talent/affordability basis, I think he would’ve been the best back up option.
I never liked Joe Flacco. I never thought he was in the 'elite' conversation of QBs. The fact that he played for the Ravens was the only thing that made him interesting. Now he's going to the Jets to backup Sam Darnold? Good for him. I hope he loves NY.
Joe Flacco hasn’t been capable of playing “starting” level QB for 2-3 seasons now. The fork that was sticking out of Eli Manning is now impaled in Flacco.
Crazy how great he had been in the playoffs of 2012!
