Steelers Draft: Airing of Grievances

I have to say, how does this team expect to win by drafting this collection of bums?! My detailed scouting of each prospect yields not a single positive comment! It's time to take out the trash and fire everybody starting with Colbert! 0-16... Let's hope they cancel the season.

Claypool

• Very little wiggle or juice after the catch
• Pedestrian release to challenge press
• Average getting in and out at the break point
• Inconsistent balance out of intermediate breaks
• Will face heavy dose of contested catches
• Needs to get better at stacking cornerbacks on deep balls
• Can be tardy with catch-ready hands
• Not a natural technician as a ball-catcher

Highsmith

• Angular frame lacks sand in his lower half
• Gets bounced around as an edge-setter
• Play strength in upper and lower body will need work
• Hands need to become more violent into initial attack
• Allows himself to be squared up in the pass punch
• Leaves feet when attempting to leap past tackle
• Needs to school up his hands at the top of the rush
• Padded sack stats a bit against Garner-Webb and Old Dominion

Mcfarland

• Runs on tiptoes on stretch plays
• Slow to gather in cut
• Lacks desired feel for run lane development
• Needs plenty of space to operate
• Unable to slow feet and then reignite quickly
• Doesn't have bend to unleash lower-body power
• Runs hard but has below-average drive through contact
• Not enough sand in his pants to trust protection skills

Dotson

• A little short with top-heavy build lacking proportion
• Has issues keeping balance when he's cross-faced off snap
• Not a natural knee bender
• Ducks head into contact attempting to create leverage
• Needs to bring feet with him to prevent from falling off blocks
• Average quickness to expedite combo blocks when needed
• Needs to re-set hands more quickly
• Mirror suffers when he loses proper base width
• Feet and agility to recover are below average

Brooks

• Needs to play with improved discipline as a pro
• Gets outside the structure and freelances at times
• Questions about where his best position fit is
• Tightly bound with sticky hips to open and run
• Lacks prototypical length to challenge throws
• Will have issues covering man in space
• Needs a little quicker downfield squeeze in run support
• Limited lateral agility creates limited tackle radius

Davis

• Arm length falls well below desired NFL level
• Struggles with short-area athletic movements
• Lacks initial snap quickness
• Below-average lateral range and too easily cross-faced
• Plays way too tall and is frequently out-leveraged
• Lack of knee bend hinders contact balance and anchor
• Offers no NFL value on passing downs

Dong drafts! F- they didn’t trade all their picks for chase young

Can't tell if your trolling or you're actually serious. I do hope it's the first. If it's the latter, perhaps you should go buy a Tampa Bay Buccaneers jersey as they already won the off-season championship.

He’ll be lucky to make the 53 this year.

• Plays with some hip tightness that limits lateral agility in coverage
• May not have pure cover talent to play full-time cornerback
• Allows some separation out of breaks
• Feet are more quick than explosive when chasing receivers from the top of the route
• Still needs to improve his awareness when asked to play deep safety
• Has to learn to dial back urgency and play with more patience on the next level
• Comes in hot as tackler and will run himself out of position to finish

LOL, funny. And Wilson and Wagner are the backbone of that team. (Wilson in particular who was my choice for 2019 NFL MVP)

Whomever said Claypool lacks acceleration after the catch doesn't know who he's talking about.

My issue is our round 3 pick looks like a reach, and I think there were better players on the board for round 4-6.
