highlights are great BUT

not to offend but I keep seeing folks say I will go watch some of his highlights in order to judge a prospect but that is such a flawed approach here is why

everyone has a highlight tape and guess what everyone looks good on them you know why they are highlights !

ever notice nobody has a lowlight tape ... good reason for that nobody wants to look bad

the only way to know a prospects limitations is watch game tape , not highlights

do not base opinions on highlights because we can watch priority free agents highlights and they can make you believe they are 1st rounders if the sample size is small and they played some inferior teams ( like all schools do at some juncture )

just my 2 cents

Game tape is the only way to evaluate a player. The combine is a total waste of time. Frankly, there's not a bigger waste of time on the planet and highlights are just what you said...highlights.

with the exception of the interview and medicals at the combine the rest is a dog and pony show

Every HS player would get a scholarship to Alabama if highlight videos were used.
