Todman ready to leave it all on the field
Just a few days ago, Jordan Todman ripped off a 49-yard touchdown run against the Steelers at Heinz Field while wearing a Carolina Panthers uniform.
Today he is preparing to the help the Steelers defeat the New England Patriots on Thursday night at Gillette Stadium.
That is how life in the NFL goes..

I like this kid. Not an every down back but he can offer some production.
Re: Todman ready to leave it all on the field
He can return kicks. Hopefully he can do it well and they can get rid of Archer...

I like they are looking, have we ever been this thin at RB?

Jordan Todman (5-feet 10-inches, 198-pounds) is a 4-year veteran out of Connecticut, and was a 6th round draft choice by the San Diego Chargers in 2011. Todman has primarily played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but also spent time with the Minnesota Vikings and most recently the Panthers before signing with the Steelers Sunday. Todman is a versatile running back who can run between the tackles, catch the ball out of the backfield and also has NFL experience returning kickoffs.
Todman very well might have won his current job with the Steelers in his performance against the team last Thursday at Heinz Field when he ran for 70-yards on just 5 carries, one of them being a 49-yard touchdown.

2013 was shaky...Bell was injured (beginning of the year) Mendy left via free agency. Dwyer was cut but re-signed when LaRod Stephens-Howling got hurt. Redman was the starter but he was basically injured...washed up Felix Jones was signed. Baron Batch was cut.
So, for game 1 in 2013, it was Dwyer, Redman and F.Jones

Williams is much better than all of his RB!

I believe 2012 was the year when Mendenhall was injured most of the season and Redman and Dwyer were our go-to guys backed up by Rainey. And for a lot of 2008 we were down to Mewelde Moore and Gary Russell, with one game where (ugh) Carey Davis had to take over at RB because those two got banged up in the second half.
From about 2006-09 when Willie Parker was the unquestioned starter, we played about half to two-thirds of our games with no running back at all.

Russell returned kicks, too lol. Very very thin at RB that year.
We need another MeMo...3rd down back/backup RB in a pinch/receiver out of the backfield/pass blocker. Not an all pro but a utility player.
Re: Todman ready to leave it all on the field
I'm not worried about the RB position. Deangelo and Todman can carry the load until Bell gets back.
The only time that I get worried about RB is when they put Archer in.

Gary Russell - first TD of Super Bowl 43!!! He's not all bad!!

Ed Bouchette @EdBouchette
Tomlin: Says Jordan Todman No. 2 at RB although "it might be a collection of men" replacing Bell

Re: Todman ready to leave it all on the field
He won't see the field. I bet they put Archer in as the backup or use Johnson.
Re: Todman ready to leave it all on the field
Jordan's job is to watch Archer catch the ball in the endzone. If Todman wanted to make an impact, he'd tackle Archer before he got out of the endzone on a kick return...that would help the team immensely.
Re: Todman ready to leave it all on the field
Haley is setting up Todman for a flea flicker from DHB in the Wildcat with a direct snap to Matt Spaeth. Should fool everybody.
