The House Will Vote Tomorrow On Clean Fast Track Bill
House Republicans plan to breathe new life into President Barack Obama's trade agenda on Thursday by bringing up a stand-alone bill to give the president expedited authority to speed major trade deals through Congress.
The new strategy from GOP leadership comes nearly a week after House Democrats handed the president a crippling defeat, stalling trade legislation in the chamber and leaving Obama and Republicans scrambling to find a way forward. Matt Sparks, a spokesman for House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), confirmed on Wednesday that GOP leadership's plan was to bring the new version of the so-called fast-track bill to the floor on Thursday.
The fast-track bill, also known as Trade Promotion Authority, already passed both the Senate and House, but its fate relied on the House passing TAA along with it. That didn't happen thanks to Democrats' revolt on Friday, forcing Republicans to find a new route. To move a clean fast-track bill, the House Rules Committee announced a meeting Wednesday evening to attach the legislation to a public safety retirement bill sent over by the Senate.
Once the clean TPA bill is sent back to the Senate, it will be up to the upper chamber to handle TAA independently

Senate approves fast-track, sending trade bill to White House
The Senate voted Wednesday to approve fast-track authority, securing a big second-term legislative win for President Obama after a months-long struggle.
The 60-38 Senate vote capped weeks of fighting over the trade bill, which pitted Obama against most of his party — including Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid (Nev.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

REPUBLICAN-LED CONGRESS HANDS OBAMA MAJOR WIN ON TRADE
WASHINGTON (AP) -- In a triumph of divided government, the Republican-controlled Congress passed major trade legislation Wednesday that was long-sought by President Barack Obama but vehemently opposed by most lawmakers in his party.
The measure to strengthen Obama's hand in global trade talks cleared the Senate on a vote of 60-38, and will go to the White House for his signature - less than two weeks after it was temporarily derailed in the House in an uprising of Democratic lawmakers.

Obama-GOP “Trade” Scheme Includes “Unrestricted Immigration”
In a column published last week, meanwhile, pundit and former Bill Clinton advisor Dick Morris also sounded the alarm about the mass-immigration-by-stealth agenda being pursued by the Obama administration. “Under the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a free trade agreement, Congress could lose the power to restrict immigration,” he explained. “We could find ourselves back in the era before the 1920s when there were no restrictions on immigration and anyone from anywhere could come to our shores. And Republicans, from Mitch McConnell and John Boehner on down, are unwittingly helping Obama achieve this goal.” More likely, of course, is that the establishment wing of the GOP is wittingly helping Obama.
According to Morris, the TPP “contains a barely noticed provision that allows for the free migration of labor among the signatory nations.” Indeed, that element is actually patterned after similar provisions in the treaties foisted on European peoples to destroy national sovereignty and impose the unaccountable super-state now known as the European Union. The provision on immigration, Morris said, “would override national immigration restrictions in the name of facilitating free flow of labor.” That could “easily be interpreted” as “allowing farm workers and others to flow back and forth without legal regulation,” he added.
