TEAM HILLARY AIMING TO RAISE $2.5 BILLION
But even as Mrs. Clinton attempts to set aside her celebrity and offer herself as a fighter for ordinary voters, her finance team and the outside groups supporting her candidacy have started collecting checks in what is expected to be a $2.5 billion effort, dwarfing the vast majority of her would-be rivals in both parties.

That is the main reason why I can't get behind this "climate change" thing. As long as government is involved, I'm forever skeptical. It's just an excuse to separate the people from their money and their freedom in the name of "saving the planet."

The socialists don't even try to hide it now...they hate America and want the UN to run the world...

It's early. I suspect in about 6 months, that poll will be reversed. The Clinton Machine needs time to swindle the public.

She's no slick Willy, and I can't wait to see her defend her record as NY State Senator and SoS.

This. Along with a huge assist from a sycophantic and ass-kissing media.
Yes, get ready for the next great social experiment, folks - now we're gonna see if America is gonna take the next step in its "progression" by breaking the "glass ceiling." (While of course conveniently forgetting the nonstop vitriol Palin has received from the left since 2008 every time her name is mentioned, even if most of it was actually deserved)
I wonder if Chris "Tingle" Matthews feels a thrill up his leg yet.

I really want it to come down to Hillary and Jeb. They say you get the government you deserve. And at this point, that's what we deserve. Unfortunately.

I know I'm in the minority here, but at least the Clintons are competent. Last time they were in the White House we had a good run of peace and prosperity (and they were infinitely better then the two numbnuts clowns we've had since).
F da Bushes. What is Heb's platform going to be? "Vote for a Bush--third time's a charm?"

What is your issue with George HW Bush?

Then-record deficits, increased federal meddling in K-12 education, sucked Chicom dick after Tiananmen Square and helped stop the wave of freedom, and almost blew up all the Gipper's Cold War work with his idiocy. (On the last point, Reagan adopted a policy of detente toward the end of his presidency in order to give Gorbachev political cover and undermine the hard-liners...dumbass HW wanted to go back to a confrontational stance. Might have been understandable if he hadn't been both Reagan's VP and head of the CIA, so he should have known better.)

Re: Hillary Clinton Announces 2016 Presidential Bid
What the hell does Monica's boyfriend have to do with how Hillary would be as president?
Billy boy gave us NAFTA - a policy that still is destroying us.
Twenty years after Clinton signed NAFTA into law, Global Trade Watch reports a 450 percent increase in the U.S. trade deficit, resulting in the export of almost one million jobs, and downward pressure on wages.
As U.S. food processors moved to Mexico to take advantage of low wages, U.S. food imports soared.
The export of subsidized U.S. corn did increase over NAFTA's first decade, decimating the livelihoods of more than one million Mexican campesino farmers plus an additional 1.4 million agricultural workers, triggering mass dislocation, wage depression and a doubling of Mexican immigration to the United States.

Re: Hillary Clinton Announces 2016 Presidential Bid
I dunno, I think the prosperity of the '90s had more to do with the boom of a little thing called the Internet than anything Clinton did. And we wound up finally paying the piper in 2001 for his "measured responses" to terrorism as well.

I'm still not sure I follow. He had an extremely high approval rating. His problem was that he didn't address the economy and ran against a slick, smooth talking, well funded, bullshit artist from Arkansas.

Damn straight. However, his VP invented the internet so the administration has that going for them. :heh:

Media’s Hillary Lovefest Underway, While GOP Candidates Face Tough Questions
Cue the Hillary Clinton media lovefest.
All you need to know about the next 18 months of media coverage in the Hillary vs. press match-up is summed up in this hilarious video. Reporters are running, not walking, to catch Clinton in her “Scooby van” as she kicked off her campaign in Iowa.

To quote legendary MLB catcher Yogi Berra: “It’s like déjà vu all over again.”
After living through the 2008 coronation of then-Senator Barack Obama, we know how this play is going to end. Barring any miracles, Clinton will cruise to the nomination. And from then on, most of the coverage of her speeches, policies, and even grandma-hood will slant in her favor.
