With the mindset of the current NFL officials, that would draw a flag if it was a QB or WR. Don't think they would throw the flag if he was an RB.

Pretty much a coin flip as to whether or not that draws a flag in the NFL, if you ask me. Depends on if/how long the guy laid on the ground writhing around in pain afterward, considering that the NFL flags the result of a hit just as much if not more than the actual hit itself anymore. The legality of a hit by the rulebook seems to have very little to do with whether or not a hit gets flagged nowadays. And whether or not it draws a fine later in the week is a whole other discussion entirely.

And if a QB is involved, the name on the back of the jersey comes into play as well, especially since that seems to be the only time when that asinine "putting all one's weight into the tackle" BS ever becomes a factor.

All joking aside, that was about the most insane rugby game ever. Don't normally watch it on TV, but went back and watched the condensed version after hearing about it. England needing to win by 26, and winning by 20 and getting stuffed at the 1-inch line, not to mention the whole game was just, well ... insane. Good reminder of why people all over the world get excited about it.
