Dude's 31 yrs old. Not a good time to sign a RB. I don't know what the Eagles are thinking on that one.
He will have 10 good carries out of 100 before the Eagles realize their mistake.

It also looks like the Eagles are going to lose Maclin to the Chiefs. That's going to hurt them a lot.
Gore, however, can catch the ball out of the backfield and is decent in the passing game. Harbaugh never utilized that part of his game. I tend to agree that it is a little puzzling the Eagles would be interested in a back his age, but if he's splitting time with Sproles, it's not a terrible combo.
It depends on the player. Some are decent until they're 33 or 34. Some are done by age 27. Never can tell when it's going to come, but so far the guy has been remarkably durable. If they get a good year or two out of him, they've come out ahead, then on to the next guy.Quote:
