I think he must see something of himself in the kid: the way he prepares, his dedication to the game, the fact that his greatness comes from out-practicing everyone else. Yes, it would be nice to be a physical freak like Calvin Johnson, but AB does it the way Rice did: with hard work first, physical ability second.
