that is one way of summing it up in 1 word ....

I mean come on its common knowledge you are going to be tested , you work your entire life for this moment and " piss it away " ( literally in some cases )

If I am GM I pass on every kid that is that stupid knowing I will draft guys who do the same thing but are at least smart enough to be clean for the test
