This is crazy
A new #1 pick.

In related news.
Steelers may get a win against Cleveland...
Hoyer and McGAYhee <<<<<< Weeden and Richardson!
FTW!!!! Cleveland wins 3 games this year!!! Horrible move and its all so they can get a new qb. Great thing to tell your fan base. We are cashing in this year so we can continue to rebuild next year!!!!
Wow, talk about knee-jerk reaction.
I wonder if we were in on the talks. Wouldn't he be a nice contribution to our offense?
The Browns are such an incompetent organization. Makes me glad I'm not a Browns fan. I needed this bit of good news after Monday's crapfest
This was a dumb move, even for the Browns. I was really surprised.
This is a steal. For the BROWNS. Richardson isn't the back everyone thought he was going to be. He's a good player, but I'll take a first round pick over him any day. Monterio Hardesty (injured), Chris Ogbonnaya and McGahee? Those running backs are fine. Now the Browns can use that pick on a real building block instead of another guy at running back. I've never thought Richardson was special. Very solid, but not special.

Also, Brian Hoyer is going to surprise some people.
I take this back, it was an overreaction. Let me explain in better detail how I feel. I don't understand the uproar over the trade. He is a very solid runner, but I wouldn't call him a cornerstone. I do not think he's a special player. Cleveland made a smart decision by moving him now. The additional first round pick will allow them to select a building block at a more critical position. That said, I also think the move was smart for Indianapolis. They are on the verge of being a legitimate contender, building blocks aren't needed as much as immediate impact in their case. And Richardson should provide them that. This is a rare case where I think an NFL trade worked out well for both parties.
As bad as the Steelers are at the moment, at least they're not the Browns.
Tanking...
Good idea, trade the #3 overall pick for the #20. CHAMPIONSHIP!
This should improve Indy's offense, have Trent to go along with Andrew Luck. Plus I heard that Indy's starting RB went on IR
Obviously this is something that's way down on the list, but I imagine there's a lot of Brown's fans stuck with Trent Richardson jersey's now. :chuckle: Wonder if the Browns will do something along the lines of what the Patriots did with the Aaron Hernandez jerseys? I realize they are different situations, but still I'm sure much of the marketing campaign was built around Richardson, so if they don't want an extremely pissed off fan base, ( more-so than they already are) maybe they should make some sort of accommodation to the people who paid good money for those jerseys?
1st . Richardson found out onthe radio, that's a first class organization for you.
2nd. I think it is agood move for both teams. If it were me i would rather fix last admins mistake now and have picks to build going forward. Trent is a nice RB, in a passing league, it's no longer the day when Bettis and a line can anchor your whole team.
3rd. Fantasy owners have got to be totally pumped
T-Rich was not worthy of the 3rd over all selection , nor was Weeden worthy of the 22nd or whatever he was ...
stated this on my old forum when it happened , the Browns had an opportunity to make a huge stride with that draft and instead moved laterally ....
this is a good move for both teams the Browns likely will get a pick in the mid to late 20s in return for a bad decision and that is normally more than you can wish for , the Colts get a pretty good RB when they where in dire straights in that department
