Cap situations league wide
Re: Cap situations league wide
The Bengals are 50M under? Wow. Even the Ravens are 13m under. Browns 45M under. We are in for a stretch of pain.
Re: Cap situations league wide
1. Patriots: $120M under the cap (exempt)
Re: Cap situations league wide
Looks like Patriots, Colts & Cincy are sitting pretty.
Steelers...not so much.
Re: Cap situations league wide
I think we're in for another long season.
Re: Cap situations league wide
Bengals also have a crapload of free agents to resign:

I will not be surprised if we see some major cap casualties on our roster, and I honestly do not think that Troy and James are exempt from being part of that. They are both old and often hurt.

Agreed...but as I think you are implying this cap induced purging may not be as detrimental as some think even with respect to Troy & James.
However it IS a bigger concern imo when we lose quality younger starters like Lewis or backups like Legursky...

yep, it may be better for the team for James and Troy to leave so we can retain guys like Lewis and Legursky.
Re: Cap situations league wide
Cincy has many many players at way under market value, what's up with that.
