Green could make Steelers see red
Games with significant implications for the NFL postseason don't typically match one team that just barely beat the Browns against another that just barely beat the Chiefs, but precisely such a chilled buffet is to be served up this afternoon at Heinz Field.
The Cincinnati Bengals needed another high altitude bolt of brilliance from rookie A.J. Green -- a 51-yard strike to the Cleveland 2 -- just to stage a game-winning field goal adjacent to Lake Erie last week, and the Steelers needed four hot 'n' tasty late night turnovers from fellow Pennsylvanian Tyler Palko to avoid a serious slip in Kansas City.
But if the playoffs started today (hey, how was your Christmas?), these Steelers and these Bengals would be your AFC wild cards, a condition that would seem about as likely to hold as these December temperatures in the mid-50s.
