It will be déjà vu all over again for the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Referee Bill Leavy, who made several controversial calls that went against the Seahawks during the teams' Super Bowl XL matchup, has been assigned to their Week 2 game at Pittsburgh, The Seattle Times reported Tuesday.

It's only the second Seattle game that Leavy has been assigned to since that Super Bowl. The Steelers won the first rematch, 21-0, on Oct. 7, 2007 in Pittsburgh.

I can hear the bitching and moaning from the Seattle fans already. :cry02: :blah:

"I kicked two calls in the fourth quarter, and I impacted the game," Leavy said in August 2010. "And as an official, you never want to do that."

Among those two calls was a penalty against offensive tackle Sean Locklear for holding, which nullified a pass to tight end Jerramy Stevens that would have put Seattle at the 1-yard line. The second flag came after an interception, and quarterback Matt Hasselbeck was penalized for an illegal low block on a play in which he made the tackle.

For about the ten millionth time, how is this NOT holding? Just because Lardass Madden says "That didn't look like a hold to me!" doesn't make it so.

Additionally, if that isn't holding, then the holding call on Hartwig in SB XLIII which cost us a safety and possession of the ball and ultimately the lead in that game was complete and utter bullshit. That was a LOT less of a hold than this one was. :coffee:

So when the Squawks get rolled on Sunday, they'll have a convenient excuse other than "we suck."

Yeah, they're experts at making excuses. "We sucked in the first half, but the refs still gave the game to the Niners! WAAAHHH! WAAAHHH! WAAAHHH!"

I know we stunk up the first half yesterday, but again, the zebras cost us several times on poor ball spotting, all in favor of 49ers. They gave Gore the benefit of a bounce, with 6 inches to go instead of a full yard - TD resulted. Watch the replay.

The crying, whining and gnashing of teeth is in full swing (http://www.seahawks.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=35181).

Just heard a great comment on the radio (I stream KIRO 710am here..its great).. someone said the reason they are bringing Leavy in for the game is to induct him into the Steeler Ring of Fame. haha

Don't have a "ring of fame," crybaby dipshits. :coffee:

The problem of the Seahawks in their history that they are not able to deal with adversity....They have always been bad on the road and they were lucky to make the playoffs at least 4 times since 1999.

Three times they made the playoffs was 9-7 and once a 7-9.

And the games were at home four times.

The sea hags are not happy unless they are bitching about something. I've said once and I'll say it again even with a few calls that were borderline they still had plenty of chances in that game. Who's fault is it when you drop passes & td passes? Who's fault is when you give up a 78 yard td run? Who's fault is it when you give up a wr option td pass that was 45 yards or so? The bottom line is the sea hawks could not make enough plays in this game to beat the steelers. We made the bigger plays that got scores.

Heh - Jim Rome talked about the Seahawk's fans whining on his opening segment yesterday - he told them to get over it as well, then proceeded to break down exactly why they lost that Super Bowl and it wasn't because of the officiating. It was rather awesome to watch. At least I enjoyed it.
