I dont' understand why they didn't start going 5 wide down by that much with 9 mins to go.

Today's look like the game against the Ravens in 2006.

Defense was very bad and the offense .... 7 turnorvers ........ridiculous.

The defense felt like 2002. That's the part that has me worried.

Because we couldn't block them in trips, how could we block them five wide. Pathetic showing.. But It's good to get this kind of game out of the way right off the bat.

I feel like the defense wasn't even running at full strength.

agree

And the starters had very little to do with it. Other than the 3rd game, they barely played at all. All that says is that their backups and camp bodies weren't very good.

The most heartless, soulless game I've seen played by the Steelers in a long time... and yea, McFadden and Gay gets their fair share of humiliation as usual.

As I said, the Steelers are not bad as they were today.after the bad game against the Patriots last year, the Steelers won 35-3 against the Raiders. The Steelers will play the next two game against the Seahawks and Colts.I think they have a good chance they have a record of 2-1.

Last year, the pats lost 34-14 against the Browns, the Saints lost 30-10 at home against the Browns, the Jets lost 45-3 against the Patriots, but the three teams had a very good season .

It's embarrassing to the performences today, but its already happened to other good team.

"Get-it-out-of-the-way" is too simplistic. We just found out the hard way that we don't know how to play football. This beat-down is an object lesson and I hope we take it to heart. We've got a lot of work cut out for us.

The only thing that today set in stone is that John Harbaugh is still a dick.

He's just pissed that in the back of his mind he knows that if he meets Pittsburgh in the playoffs, he'll lose. No matter how badly he beats up Pittsburgh in the regular season.

IDK if McFadden is a bum or not, but on the TD play he had perfect coverage, had his hand out and missed the ball by an inch or so. Sometimes it just not your day. Secondary takes a beating when the front 7 are giving TEs free releases and still not getting any pass rush. It's rare to see this D line so ineffective, but when they are blocked up we lose and we lose big.

Almost cost him. Throwing with a few minutes left and flacco goes down, uh ok ok run run run. Dumbass.

Following the Super Bowl loss and playing against Baltimore, I thought that we'd come out with a bit more fire. We looked slow and lethargic from the beginning.

I am not worried, the steelers always come out of the gate slow and seem to catch up later. On the other hand, Baltimore seems to come out of the gate like a ball of fire and starts to stumble about a 3rd of the way through the season. lets see if this tradition holds true this year.

Our own fault for having just three players on one side. We did it each time and they finally called us on it.

The two point conversion didn't bother me as far as thinking they were rubbing it in. But keeping Flacco in there the entire game, and to keep passing was clearly Harbaugh rubbing the Steelers collective noses in it.

Do we just lump Gay into the hate before the game even starts? He barely played by the time the game was out of hand.

And McFadden didn't play poorly. Not great, but he was fine.
