Another article that I wrote for Bleacher Report.
The Baltimore Ravens came into existence in 1996, after Art Modell moved the Cleveland Browns to the city of Baltimore. However, Cleveland was allowed to keep the Browns name, colors, and history so the Baltimore Ravens were born.
Maybe part of the hatred between the two teams stems from the Ravens being the original Browns. Maybe it comes from the fact that the Ravens are the only other team in the division that has won a Super Bowl.
I think it comes from the two following things:
1. The Baltimore Ravens have followed the blueprint of the Pittsburgh Steelers of building a winner - defense first.
2. Since the 2000 Ravens, the only other team to win the division outside of the Steelers and Ravens is the Cincinnati Bengals (2005 and 2009) in two fluke seasons.
A lot of these moments are from the past few years, because the rivalry has really heated up as if late with Ben Roethlisberger being the Ravens' kryptonite.
The following slides are moments that are unfortgettable to most Steeler fans.
