View Full Version : Tom Coughlin, Giants Devastated After Season-Ending Injury To Clint Sintim

NEW YORK (WFAN/AP) — It’s been a brutal preseason for the Giants — and it just got worse.

Add Clint Sintim to the list of Big Blue players done for the season.

The 25-year-old linebacker ruptured the patella tendon in his right knee while making a tackle in the third quarter Thursday night against New England.

“I knew as soon as I hit,” Sintim, choking back tears, said afterward.

Giants coach Tom Coughlin called the injury “devastating.” Sintim may also have a torn ACL, according to the team.

This is the 11th player to be out for the season for the Giants, among them are CBs Terrell Thomas, Bruce Johnson and DT Marvin Austin.

Sintim was the Giants 2nd round pick in the 2009 draft but started only one game in two seasons.

I'm not usually concerned about the plight of other teams, but this is some fucked up shit right here. 11 players lost for the season?!? DAYUM!

Their season was already over before this injury. They had no depth and now will field a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers. Beware of your PS being picked over. Might be a good season to rebuild. Manning is going to get killed too.

They should be more devastated by Eli's preseason play...especially if that mess carries over to the regular season.
