Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson will spend 20 days in a Texas jail after changing his plea to guilty.
The trial started with jury selection, then opening statements. After the court's lunch break, Benson changed his plea to guilty of misdemeanor assault charges. HE pleaded guilty to punching an Austin bar employee after he was escorted out in 2010.

Benson has been sentenced to 20 days in the Travis County jail in Texas and given a $4,000 fine. He is to report to the Travis County Jail on October 17...........

Just thinking the exact same thing. I guess there is time to appeal for that...no?

Where is the outrage from the sports media on this. Benson admits to punching a bartender and gets away with it yet there is complete silence from the biased sports media.

The Pats should still receive a compensatory 2nd or 3rd round pick and James Harrison should be fined $50k.

He'll only serve a week on good behavior. So basically he spends his "vacation" in jail...
