Terrelle Pryor was spotted by WPXI’s Rich Walsh going into the Steelers’ practice facility today at around 3 p.m.

So what is there to make of Pryor’s visit a day before the NFL holds its supplemental draft?

The visit in itself is anything but out of the ordinary. The Steelers make sure they do their due diligence especially when it comes to local kids. They’ll bring in anybody from their backyard that is eligible to visit and has a chance to play in the NFL.............

Thanks for adding the link. I leave this one to the wisdom of Colbert and Tomlin.

He's worth a 4th imo.

He's worth a 4th imo.

exactly. also, can he catch?

how much does he weigh? i hear people suggesting TE.

The guy is an athlete. His stride reminds me of Randy Moss. I think he can be a very good WR in the NFL, and I think he's be better at the "slash" position than KS was.

Enter a fourth rounder. If he becomes a problem, you simply cut him.

He's worth a 4th imo.

I bet he goes for a 5th or later. He is not an NFL QB.

highest id go is 5th as a potential TE/WR. he feels like a trouble maker so i don't care who takes him, hopefully its the bungles and they try to make him a qb (they'll suck for another 10 years)

If he wants a playing career. He converts to TE or receiver. Hes worth a shot if we take him since we may have some holes at TE, (and O line for the past 12 years but we never seems to get lucky with that.

I agree move him to TE.

He ran a 4.36 40 in his workout the other day. He could instantly become one of the most athletic TE's in the league, and he caught a nice TD in college once. Not sure what that says about his overall catching ability but I think he can catch :chuckle:

He can be our 5th string QB

I believe the supplemental draft begins at 1 PM today. We'll know if there's any legs to this rumor soon.

As I've said before, Pryor is freakishly gifted, but I think he's a punk. He just doesn't seem like Steelers material to me.

IMO I think he's worth a 5, but like I said, with the Steelers 4th round draft history, I would give up their 4 for him. It's not out of the realm of possibility that they get him either with a 4. The Supplemental Draft Order isn't the same as the normal draft. It's done somewhat like a lottery system in 3 groups. So their odds are a little better than normal.

Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if someone gave a 3 to ensure that they get him. I wouldn't go that far, but some team that's desperate for an "athlete" could.

I see Bengals or Raiders. Two teams where character doesn't count.

I would move him to WR/TE kind of a hybrid guy.

No one taken in rounds 1 or 2.

Steelers have never picked a player in the supplemental draft. By the by, Bernie Kosar is easily the most successful pick in the supplemental draft. Brian Bosworth (The Boz....puke!) is probably the most famous.

Buzz from the draft is Raiders take Pryor in 3rd since they don't have a 4th rd pick.

NFLN is reporting that the Raiders did indeed use a 3rd to take Pryor.

Chris Carter is a big name too.

Rob Moore was a supplemental pick as well. There have been some decent ones in the past.

The Raiders show once again how stupid they are. This is why they suck every year.

lets trade mike wallace to the raiders. they might give us a 1st round for 5 straight years with his speed

Terrelle Pryor ran a 4.36 40-yard dash at his pro day, which would have been the fourth-fastest at this year's combine. The Raiders have taken the player to run the fastest 40-yard dash at the combine each of the last three years.
Fastest 40-yd dash
last 3 scouting combines
40 time Drafted By
2011, DeMarcus Van Dyke 4.28 Raiders
2010, Jacoby Ford 4.28 Raiders
2009, Darrius Heyward-Bey 4.30 Raiders

I wouldn't do it...lol. The Raiders would find a way to fuck that up...
