Apparently, he got an earfull from Belichick for not blocking. Sooo....Belichick never watched film on him???? :noidea:

That Chad Ochocinco scored a touchdown Thursday night on his first reception as a Patriots shouldn’t cloud the fact that he’s a long way from being a trusted piece of this offense.
It will cloud it, though. You’ll see the 8-yard reception replayed a few dozen times over the next week. The insinuation will be that this was just the first of many touchdowns in what will be a blissful marriage.

Fact is, you and I both could have made that touchdown catch because of the way Tampa’s defense sucked up when they saw a play-action fake to BenJarvus Green-Ellis. Ocho was all alone.

But on the three other throws that targeted the celebrated wideout in a Patriots’ rout, Ocho and Tom Brady had a miscommunication, Ocho leaped and got clobbered on a deep in-cut and he caught a slant.

He got hauled off the field by Bill Belichick on the Patriots’ first drive, apparently for not getting downfield on a 29-yard run by Danny Woodhead. And he spent a good chunk of one drive watching with receivers coach Chad O’Shea from the sidelines.......................

Good article. I'm not too worried about him. He doesn't have to be a #1 receiver in New England. Worst case scenario: he just becomes another one of our veteran pick-ups, that we like to put in from time to time.

If Belichick gets Ocho to block, I will officially be ready to crown him as a genius. With that said, not gonna happen.

I think that may have been his first and last attempt at a block in a Bengals uniform.

Chad laid that block NOT to help his team, but because it brought him more attention. That is his prime directive: He is the apotheosis of attention whores.
