for me, I listen to football since 2001 and for me, it has 4 players steelers I find very bad.

And it's 4 kicker!

Kris Brown, Todd Peterson, Mitch Berger and Paul Ernster

By respect, I put no Limas Sweed on this list!

Anthony Smith deserves to be on that list too.

In addition, it has not even able to make the team of st-louis rams.:gossip::coffee::rolleyes2::toofunny::faint:

Darnell Stapleton was very bad too.

Indeed, William Gay was very bad and he got frustrated a lot.

But I'll wait another year before putting on this list.

Wasn"t he a hugh disaapointment . Nice post.

Hughey Richardson, 1991 number 1 pick out of Florida, linebacker appeared in several games in 1991. 0 tackles, o assists, o sacks,. Cowher cut him , I believe his first year as coach in 1992. Played a total of 11 games in 1992 for the Jets and Skins where he repeated the exact same stats.

That distinction really needs to go to a #1 bust. Certainly Richardson is up there. But he didn't waste nearly as much space as Jamaine Stephenson. Jamaine was in a class all by himself.

Couldn't think of his name. Yep, Jamaine Stephens was a huge disappointment. As was Troy Edwards. I guess I'm more answering the question of biggest disappointment than worst Steeler.

I'd say Sweed. He dropped the ball 1 2 many times when it mattered the most. He might as well change his position 2 linebacker or cornerback since he sure can lay someone out.

For some strange reason Cowher liked Chad Scott. :noidea:I actually saw people in the crowd putting gas masks on because he stunk up the place so bad.:chuckle: I can't tell you how many games I watched yelling at the screen saying "get that lousy SOB out of there". yeah, Chad Scott-worst corner ever to start for us.

for my money it has to be Limas, and Richardson.

As for Anthony Smith I gotta say he had a pretty good start and I will never forget that hit on that low life houshmannada.

To me, Malone was because he stayed in the starting role for so long. Thank goodness that the USFL came along and took Stoudt from us. Imagine a starting QB roster of Stoudt;Malone;Blackledge/Woodley

I didn't like Kordodobird as a person as he was a whining, crying buffoon with the smarts of an acorn, but he did have talent and had some very good games during his tenure as a Steeler. Probably one of the best all-around athletes in the history of the franchise.

Ran into his family outside a Panthers game a few years ago. I didn't have the heart to tell 15 people in 21 Colclough jerseys that he sucked.

I am going to have to say Chukky Okobi. A player who rarely saw the field. Was talked up way beyond his capacity. Given status and contracts way beyond his worth. And when given the chance to inherit the starting job that was served up to him on a silver platter he blew it. If I can remember rightly he was cut, moved somewhere else and quickly faded into obscurity ( Maybe pittsburgh west - russ grimm ???) . I cant believe he spent 6 seasons on our roster.

If your gonna list those two, may as well add in David Woodley and make it a "horrid" trio.

...and as far as Chad Scott, Deon Figures has got to be up there too.

I say Kris Brown. He was a horrible kicker, always missing the most important field goals that I remember. Limas Sweed hasn't done anything since he got here... too bad he's injured and we can't see what he can do.

i saw them all play. kordell was given a #1 running attack and a #1 defense, consistently, and he could do nothing with it. stoudt and malone lived in the talent-depleted 80's.

i remember the browns game when cowher pulled kordell and put in graham. graham drove them to the 2 or 3 yard-line. then cowher pulled him for kordell. kordell almost lost a fumble and almost threw a INT. if i remember correctly, he put graham back in after wasting 2 downs with the kordell experiment. kordell was catered to during his whole career there.

kordell could not throw at all. every pass had you on the edge of your seat wondering if it was going to be an INT or thankfully another grounder.

but that's just my opinion : )

Either Booth Lusteg or Kent Nix, both from the '60s.

Lusteg was a kicker who warmed up by kicking paper cups. He kicked for one season, '68, and was 8 for 20 in field goals, 2 for 13 over 30 yards, and 26-29 in extra points... this was when the posts were on the goal line. He may have been the worst kicker in NFL history.

Nix was a QB for 3 years, '67 through '69. He went 3-9 as a starter, in 25 games threw 14 TDs and 33 INTs, completing 48% of his passes.

I'm sure I've seen worse, but those were the only two who got real playing time that I remember. The Steelers in the '60s were like the Pirates today; there seemed to be no end to the different ways they could be bad.
