Per the Steelers FB

The Pittsburgh Steelers
Mike Tomlin rules out 9 players for the preseason opener Friday night against the Redskins: TE Eugene Bright, ILB Mario Harvey, G Chris Kemoeatu, WR Adam Mims, WR Emmanuel Sanders, CB Cortez Allen and CB Bryant McFadden.

Nice...brown should get a lot of time at CB. Sucks that they are going against a shitty passer...warm up right?

That's 7, not 9. Who are the other two ? I would have to assume Limas Sweed is one, and maybe either of our two roolies who have not practiced much in C.Brown, or the OL Gilbert.

Kemos been on the PUP list since camp started with knee issues...Steelers Depot had an article up about it the other day too. Bmac I think is a groin/hammy or something like that.

thanks for the heads up. Is it just me, or has McFadden had a really injury prone 2 time tenure with the steelers? Makes me feel even less comfortable with the secondary.

It's early in the preseason no need to rush any of the guys def. the starters who have injuries. I'm excited to watch Baron Batch and Curtis Brown all camp long!

I'm definitely excited to see Baron Batch...specially since he's from down here in Texas!!! The kid has a helluva head on his shoulders can't wait to see him sporting his Black and Gold on Sundays!!! Go Baron Batch!!! Go Steelers!!!

whats wrong with McFadden and Kemo?

Kemoeatu dealt with arthritis and bone chips in his knee. He got beat up really bad last year.

Mims was just released. Maybe we'e injured/waiving him and putting him on IR?

Unfortuante Cortez can't play. He probably needs a lot of work and the more time you get, the better.

Any chance of Mike Wallace playing? Heard he was held out of practice with tightness in his hamstring.
