Now he can take his boneheaded penalties to the 'Skins.

I don't get this signing. He isn't a former Pro Bowler on the wrong side of 30.

With Shanahan there...they seem to be doing a lot better with this type of thing, haha.

Anyways...good luck Fox...he was a great STer and when he stepped in and hard to start a couple times he did really well. Though some will only remember him for some penalties last year/etc...which is unfair.

meh...I liked him as a special teams player...most of the time...

Some of these young guys will step up.

rare good signing by the redskins

stupid penalties aside, the guy is a great special teamer, and showed numerous times he could start on our defense

good luck to him

Probably recruited by Lou Spanos.

Good luck to Fox.

I liked him as a backup and with the problems we've had on special teams over the last few years, it's a shame to see him go. But you have to make room for the young guys.

He and Anthony Madison are "key" losses on special teams. Fox is actually a better overall player even though Madison was better on STs. I remember that one interception Fox made a couple of seasons ago that made him a standout for that game. Good luck to Fox, at least he didn't go to the Raiders or Cards.

Anyone know how much the contract is worth?

Fox was a great STer for sure for the Steelers. Yes he did make a boneheaded play, but best of luck to him in Washington.

Always thought he had potential for our D. Was a good asset on ST. I hope this is a sign that some of the young draftees/UDFA are stepping up and can fill in for him, especially on ST. Time will tell.

Stepped in and did well in that game vs the Vikings in 09. Good ST player. But a neccessary loss to be able to keep the young guys and for them to be able to step up as starters one day. Good luck to him.
